I told the men (Chris and Theo) when they arrived that I thought all my stuff might not fit into the container so it was important that all the big furniture went in - the things that I could not lift or transport by myself in my car. After a while, Chris says that the container is halfway full and asks what my priority is. I say "the furniture" as the majority of the furniture is still in my house. He replies "I can't just shove a bunch of furniture in there." So I say "then what are you asking me? I told you when you got here that I need all the furniture in the container. What exactly is your question?" "Are you asking what furniture is my priority? What boxes are my priority?" I did not curse or yell. He says that he can not and will not talk to me anymore. I try to talk to Theo but he won't get involved. Very frustrating! So I say if you won't talk to me I guess I am going to have to call your boss. Then he is pissed and basically doesn't really care what he does for me and just starts shoving stuff into the container. I call the number I have for the company and get no answer and leave a message that I am having issues with the movers that are at my house and need to speak with someone. I never received a call back. The men eventually come in and say they are done and leave with a lot of my furniture still in my house. I had to be out of the house the next day so I then had to rent a storage unit, a uhaul and 2 more movers for the next day to come and move the rest of my furniture into the uhaul and then into the storage unit. When I emptied the container, several things were damaged also - from them not being careful with how they packed it into the container. Moving is stressful enough without the movers being awful! They were totally unable to communicate effectively!!!
As for the calls that you said that you made to our company, we looked at our call logs from that day and do not have any from you sorry. We have lots of customers that are told by the container companies that they only need 1 container, or the size is wrong. We as the movers do our best in putting what is requested into them. Obviously as you can see firsthand that it doesn't always happen the way you want it to. Thank you for the review.

Doug, Chris and John were terrific. They worked very hard. They were careful to wrap the furniture before loading. They were very cordial and professional. I was amazed as to how much they were able to get in my sixteen foot pod. Also want to mention that I called the office a couple of times before packing day and they were very helpful. I would definitely use this company again.

Skyler Moving and Labor was excellent! From the upfront communication and follow-through to the respectfulness of the onsite team. They even called ahead to say they would be 5 minutes late. (who does that?!?) :)
The onsite team was very precise in their moving tactics and extremely efficient. They were respectful of our property and belongings. They were very hard workers and continually asked if everything was going ok. They were as thankful for the business as we were having them.

Very professional! The team arrived on time and was able to unload my 16' POD storage container in under 90 minutes. They treated my things with care and made sure to take pictures during the whole process of any issues that might have arisen during transport. Would use again.

Great company! From the time the order was placed to completion- Skylar Moving communicated on a regular basis which was not only appreciated, but made the process go very smoothly. Everyone I communicated with was professional and helpful (Karlee [sp?] and Doug) and the two guys who helped unload were awesome!! I will definitely be using Skylar when I need to move again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Once booked we will contact customer within 24 hours and verify information and set up times. Then 1 day prior you will get a confirmation call to make sure everything is still good to go.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The day we arrive we will introduce our selves and do a walk around with the customer to see what is and not going. Ask if there are anything's they want left out or placed in a certain way.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Keep walk areas clear. If you have any pets please put them in a safe room so we don't trip over them or they run out the door. If customer wants to prep anything like the beds or removing mirrors it's always welcomed. We like to try and make this a family thing.
What types of moves have you handled?
We do all types of moves from 1 item to moving entire office buildings. House, local, out of state, load, unload, pack only, office moves, commercial moves. We are here to help you and make your move an easy transition.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Meeting new people daily, hearing there stories and packing a truck. I love seeing items that we have never seen before.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We do hands on training and have monthly meetings on how we can provide better for our customers.
