Hello Ms. Martha, yes on July 21st we loaded your POD from a storage unit that you had. When your unit was opened by your friend we seen the pieces of furniture were already wrapped previously by someone else or some other company other than us. We could not inspect the furniture for damages due to that. We moved the furniture as is, to the POD safely as possible. We packed it without dragging the furniture and carefully set it in place in POD and you have more than enough room for us to not pack stuff on the glass items. You didn’t request rope or straps on the order so we had none to work with. I doubt this was the reason for the glass being damaged, but could have been. I believe whomever loaded into your storage unit may have damaged it or your unloading team may have damaged it while the pads were still wrapped on it, as you said you don’t know how it was put in the POD. You weren’t there at the load up location but your friend was and seen everything packed safely and efficiently. Furniture should have been inspected in the POD and blankets removed in POD since it already reached its destination, and could have seen if it was due to transport. We can’t take responsibility under these circumstances, main reason being it was already moved twice by other movers with blankets and wrap that we did not apply to it. We just moved it into the POD as is. I know it’s frustrating, but extra steps have to be taken in this situation.
