Not on time. I paid for 4 movers for 2 hours to help load a Upack truck for a long distance move. Two guys were awesome and did the majority of the work. The crew leader was rude. Said I needed at least 60 moving pads. Bought about 50 blankets to help but he was not happy. Also refused to tie down furniture because I had rope and not professional moving straps. To his credit, I think he used several of his own but said rope could not be used on this kind of truck. His boss had assured me previously that things would be secured if I provided rope. I asked to add additional time however the crew leader clearly did not want to stay despite having no other job scheduled after mine. The loading became more and more careless as more time passed. I had a table I did not want to move yet he insisted that it had to go on the truck to make an area level. The items loaded in the first 2 hours were loaded tightly while those loaded in the last 45 minutes were just thrown on the truck. As a result, I could not fit all of my items. The leader told me he was hurrying to save me money and acted like I could not afford to pay for extra time.
When the movers finished, I gave each of them a $25 tip and the leader was the only person not to say thank you. I had provided sodas in ice for the movers and offered them one for the ride home. The crew leader took 3. After they left, my brother and I removed the bulkhead and removed the table I did not want, unpacked the last 1/4 of the load and secured the furniture we could reach with the rope I purchased. We were able to fit all of the stuff that got left off. I wouldn't use this service again. I would not advise asking for additional time. The two movers who did the bulk of the work were from a different company and had on different uniforms. They were far better than the two who were directly employed.
