2 helpers/2 hours. One was on time, and the other one was late 1 hour. Never suggested to call for a refund. The one helper who showed up on time did most the work. I had to do some of the moving because of the tardy helper. Called back the next to advise them, and was compensated for the time the one helper was late for. The helpers were friendly. Not sure if I would use them again. Also was linked to SML via the Penske web site. It appears they sub contract local help. So I guess it depends on who you get.

they did show up an hour late due to an accident on 380 which delayed returning of the U-Haul, which cost me an additional $40.
But they unloaded the truck and put one bed together in under two hours. They were very friendly and cautious. They did a good job.

Nice guys but not experts at packing a Uhaul. When they arrived my husband showed them everything that would need to be packed and they said “no problem, it will all fit.” But about 1 hr into the 3 hrs we paid for they said they were done and only about 1/3 of our stuff was packed. They took off to another job that they were called about because another crew didn’t show up, and my husband had to unpack the Uhaul and repack it himself. After doing so, everything fit. We also noticed scratched and dings to the furniture already because they didn’t use the towels and blankets we gave them to put between items. I would not use them again.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
I would suggest them have items boxed up unless ordered packing. Also would suggest them to have their beds broken down.

We have handled all types of moves. Moves we have completed- Long distance, local, international, commercial, gym moves, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite apart about being a mover is showing our customer that we are not just movers. Most times at the end of our move our customers are inviting us back to eat or see them again. Our mantra is “Less like movers, more like family.”
What training do you provide your crew members?
Before they are officially tagged “My Guys” they have to go through a few simulated moves, including packing, wrapping, and moving through obstacles with furniture in hand!
