Although the 2 men that loaded my truck were excellent (but I had to ask them to use pads on some furniture), the owner Andrew lead me to believe I would be charged for the exact 2 hours it took to load my rental truck. I did 'order' 3 hours as a "just in case" because it took 5 in San Diego to move to Manitowoc. But it took them 2 hours because I was pre-staged and truck was closer to home.
Andrew told me it was HIre a Helper who mandated the fee, not him. I called Hire a Helper and they said it was up to the owner. I called him back--he would not refund the 1 hour of labor not used.
And he never responded to my kind texts to refund the money.

Our movers refusef to use the appliance dolly I specifically rented for the washer and dryer. We offered to take apart our new love seat and were told repeatedly that it wasn't necessary. Our love seat and recliner, both brand new, are damaged. Our hallway going up to our living area and down to the basement are scratched, gouged and dented. Also, our downstairs neighbors door is scratched up and has a hole in it. If I could leave zero stars I would. Will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone!!!! I'm hoping this is taken seriously and something is done about this. This is terrible!!!!!! Was also yelled at for leaving a bad review. Well I'm not going to leave a good one and it was a truthful assessment of a job done poorly.

Andrew and Fred were awesome. They first checked to c what had to be loaded and took it from there. They did it in a very timely manner and I would reccomend them to others.

These two young men were prompt, respectful and effective. It wasn't the easiest of moves due to the terrain, but never once complained.
The fact that it was late notice/last minute on Superbowl Sunday--I have several other moves to make and will be contacting HireAHelper (just wish these two gentlemen were nearby).
