The helpers did not arrive at the scheduled time, and after waiting over an hour I called the office. They were aware that our team was going to be delayed but hadn’t notified us. They explained the team would be coming over 4 hours later than we had booked.
The team that arrived finally was excellent and did a terrific job. They were polite, patient, and clearly expert at loading and packing a POD container. They were fantastic. It’s unfortunate that the office management did not match the level of professionalism of the staff movers.

Upon first impression we thought they did a great job but as we unpacked 2 days later, they loaded fragile boxes on the bottom of the pile, we have damage to numerous items that have gone through previous moves just fine. We provided wrap, blankets and tape and unfortunately they did not choose to protect things properly. Frankly you’d be better off hiring someone off Craigslist based on quality alone.

Ordered 4 men for 3 hours, got two men about an hour late and they finished before the original time was up, saving me hundreds of $$!! So, while I was anxious about the arrival time, all is well that ends well and these guys were amazing.

For an arrival window of 12 to 1 pm, they showed up at 2:15 and promptly stopped working as soon as the rain started. Saw them sitting in my rocking chair doing nothing and wasting my billable time until I had to call their boss and asked them to come inside to start assembling the king bed frame.
As soon as they came inside, they started complaining about the assembly and pleaded ignorance since they didn't disassemble it (Had called twice before and said there's assembly of furniture involved). After another call with their boss, started complaining and started doing the work without any power tools. Who shows up for a job without any power tools? More time wasting doing things that could have been done faster with power tools.
Once the rain started slowing, I had to force them to start bringing rest of the stuff from the truck. When they finished, I had to go inside the trailer to remove the ratchet straps and cardboards left on the floor of the trailer even though I had asked them to bring it in.
Overall, DO NOT hire Southern Cross moving if you want the job to be done on time and done efficiently! Do hire them if you WANT TO BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE!!

Great guys even thorough they were a bit late getting here they went right to work. Assembled some furniture and carefully handled all boxes. Pointed out some possible issues with boxes clearly marked top load only which they found under other boxes, this was the fault of my packers up north.
I would definitely use their services again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Upon booking us we will reach out with a courtesy call upon accepting your order and getting details about your move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
If booking a morning job the guys will call when leaving the shop with gps arrival time. If afternoon arrival we will keep the customer up to date with the crews progress on current job.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Box up all miscellaneous items such as lamps, pictures and small items. If needed we can supply packing materials and labor. Make sure they have all personal items they need for their trip put aside.
What types of moves have you handled?
We travel all over the U.S.A and have loaded shipping containers to go all over the world. If it needs to be moved we can get it there, worldwide.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part about this business is helping people that don't have the time or physical ability to do it themselves. I hear from a lot of our customers how they moved themselves so many times but are just to old to do it anymore. That is we come in for their first experience with paid movers to show them how stress free it can be at an affordable price.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are ran through a wrapping and loading class at our warehouse before going on their first job. Proper technique on wrapping furniture to minimize damage and then loading of trucks,pods, and storage units.
