The movers were on time and ready to work. They worked so hard, that I started sweating just watching them. lol It was hot that day, but they handled it like champs. They did a good job moving my items and was careful. I would use the again.

Nice guys, worked hard. They were on time and got right to work. No complaints at all about them or their work ethic. That said, they didn't pack the pod very efficiently and consequently a few minor things didn't fit. They also didn't take the time to tie anything down, even though we provided ropes, bungees, and ratchet straps. Here's to hoping our stuff makes it in one piece. I'd recommend them, but next time I'll keep a closer eye on how things are arranged and insist they tie things down as they go.

I have two reviews; one for the movers and one for management. Number one; the two gentlemen who actually did the moving were very good, did a very good job, helped with everything we asked, and I would not hesitate to use them again. Number two; I don't think management provides any supplies for these men. No blankets to cover furniture, their hand truck was broken. Suggestion to management---Let the men who are moving your customers call them and make the appt.--- and tell them not to call in the morning, just be there five minutes early. But the workers were very good, I just don't think they get much support or supplies. This company was much better than "Two Men And A Truck." At about half the price.

Arrived on time despite very short notice. Completely loaded a 16-foot moving truck in 1.5 hours (12 noon until 1:30). Would not hesitate to use this company again.

Tommy and Thomas were awesome. Very helpful, on time, very careful of the furniture and walls of the house, super fast, very respectful and polite. I would use them again if they were available in my new state.

The moving company did okay, the gentlemen who showed up were polite, but were a bit young and didn't seem as if they'd been doing this job for very long. Curiously, they had difficulty operating the appliance dolly when moving large items. And when they did use it, they never secured any of my items to the appliance dolly with the strap. They were somewhat careful with my furniture. Some of it was inadvertently scraped on the ground, but when I asked them to be more careful they complied. I have experience moving across the country and can say that moving professionals (e.g. Mayflower, UnitedVanLines, etc.) would have taken greater means to protect and load my furniture in a timely fashion.
They were late, by about five hours. However, I was informed that they would be late and that an internal miscommunication was at fault. This was fine as I had other things I could do before their arrival. I was also told that since I had a 700 lb safe I would need to employ three movers rather than two. In the past two have been more than enough to move the safe and in one instance and single mover loaded the safe. In fact, a third person is helpless to assist with moving the safe since only person can operate the appliance dolly while another assists in pushing when needed. And, as I suspected, the third mover wasn't needed to move the safe. Adding the extra mover raised the price by $97. When I asked HireAHelper why I needed the extra mover the representative told me it was liability reasons. When I pressed her for more information she scoffed at me and just repeated whatever was on her placard and continued to ignore my questions.
They completed the job in little over an hour (I requested two hours). When I called HireAHelper to request a refund for the time not serviced I was informed that the fee was for a minimum of two hours, this was because the movers needed time to meet other customers despite not having any after my appointment. So, in the end, I paid for two hours of work, and they finished in just about half that amount of time, and got an extra $97 tacked on for "liability" reasons.
This company seems to have excellent reviews, but I don't feel that my experience matches any of those posted.

This review is just on one helper. First they were late, then the one helper was extremely lazy. Taking his time. It was kind of like he knew he only had to be there for 2 hours so it didn't matter what he got done. I also don't feel like they loaded efficiently. I have had to unload most of it to reload it better to be able to fit it all in. I feel like I wasted my money Bc I had to re do it.

The two helpers were friendly; however, I am not sure they knew much about moving. They were slow and we specifically asked them to strap down select items in the truck to ensure they did not move around while we travelled. When we arrived home, everything in the back of the truck had shifted and many items were left "loose." One of our heavier items (a TV) had fallen over. To our knowledge, nothing is broken. We are still sorting through it. I was very disappointed that they did not do as we instructed. We specifically asked once the truck was packed and they said that they did what we asked. It was dark and we were not able to double-check. It's disappointing that we were not able to trust their word. I am not sure I will use this service again.
