Arrival time was set between 10 and 11. Company called to confirm the day after the appt and again 24 hrs before the date of the move. Mover called at 9:00 to tell me that they would arrive at 10:30. At 10:30 he called again to tell me there was an issue contacting the other employee and would be late, but they were on their way. Arrived at 11:37. Both men introduced themselves and Went right to work. After 45 minutes, one of them complained of chest pains and called EMS. He continued to work (which I wasn't aware of) until the EMS arrived. Not sure what happened but the man left in the ambulance. The other mover contacted the owner and continued working on his own. The owner requested additional movers to help finish the job, and they arrived nearly three hours later, in time to move two larger pieces. The young man that stayed start to finish was incredible, persevering in the face of such a number of setbacks caused by issues he clearly had no hand in. It would have been nice to get a phone call or text or email from the owner/manager/coordinator indicating they cared as much as this young man did.

They were on time and considerate. Only reason I'm giving them a lower rating is because one out of the three helpers was not able to complete the job. He took multiple breaks, did not place items in the correct location, and left sweat marks on the walls. He did not respond when asked if he could try not to make marks on the walls. Also, there is a big scrape in the hardwood floor. I am not sure how they can fix that.

The young men were awesome!!! They showed up on time and they worked very hard to move our furniture up two flights of steps. They were very respectful and took very good care of my furniture. My husband and I were very pleased with every aspect of using hire a helper and especially pleased with Cape Fear Provisioners. Thank you so much for a job well done!!
