We did not know what do expect with our first move in over 28 years. We had been packing out townhouse for weeks and there was a lot to pack into our 26-foot rental truck. While we only packed about 75% of our home (we needed to keep the townhome livable for a few more months) there was still a lot to pack.
MD Expert Movers did a fantastic job preparing (wrapping in blankets and cellophane) all the big items and hauling them into the truck, despite some misting rain outside. One person controlled the truck and the packing and securing, and he did a wonderful job. We had a good bit of furniture, but a lot of boxes also.
Fortunately I had rented 24 blankets and bought 12 of my own turnbuckles for them to use. This worked out perfectly for our one-way move as the packing company would not supply these because they would not get them back. This is something that should be recommended on the site for one-way moves.
I will definitely be looking to and recommending Hire-A-Helper for any future moves. Thank you for making the process easier for us.

I recently used MD Expert Movers to load up a moving pod, and they were so helpful. One of the movers spent almost an hour (!) helping to take apart my bed frame to pack in the pod, and they somehow still packed up everything in two hours. Although they arrived a little late, they called me in advance to let me know that their previous job was running behind.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though.
