I highly do not recommend this company!! I only received one guy and had to pay for 2. The one guy I did get arrived at 7:30pm when they was suppose to arrive at 5. A waist of money!!

McKinley’s Transport Services did an excellent job for us. They sent two movers who were professional, respectful of our home and belongings, friendly, and hard working. The two men who came to help me move from Williamsburg to Newport News were AMAZING! They definitely went above and beyond to ensure all my stuff, as well as my daughter's stuff made it to its destination safely. This was by far the worst business transaction I’ve ever experienced. Terrible customer service. They subcontracted workers from Craigslist. They communicate with different “scam-text only” phone numbers. I should have cancelled the service when I wasn’t able to get in touch with the company via phone, but Hire A Helper assured me that they spoke with them and the company would be there for the move. Everything about the service and communication was lacking and I would not recommend this specific moving company or Hire A Helper.

Was sent a 3 person crew when it wasn’t approved and they tried to charge me more than what I was quoted. Movers damaged a lot of my furniture. One entire side of my dresser is scraped off from being drug on the concrete. Two drawers damaged on same dresser. Drawer broken on my bookshelf. Had to go in and repack the truck myself to make room for the things they didn’t get to. Not a happy customer.

Two guys very hard workers on a hot day. They showed up about 15 minutes later than the 1/2 hour slot they agreed to before. Very personable gentlemen workers.

A follow up phone call or email within 72 hours of your move date confirming date, time and address.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A courteous heads up phone call letting you know that your movers are preparing and en route to you. A seamless, professional move from start to finish.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Have all boxes labeled and ready for loading. Clear pathways both inside and outside the home, ie; foyer/driveway. Calculated route from your previous address to your new home.
