This job was not complicated. We needed help to move small furniture and some boxes from a 3 rd floor apt (no elevator) to a mobile storage unit which was parked about 100 yds away from the bldg.
2 MD Movers arrived on time. They introduced themselves and quickly assessed the items to be stored. Then they turned into whirlwind workers. Within minutes the boxes were moved out. I barely heard a sound. It was as if they were dancers with a well-oiled choreography. They barely spoke to each other, yet there clearly was communication in their work - each one knew how the other was thinking, how they would pack and carefully move each item. I must add that it was about 98 F, with high humidity - still they kept up the pace. They treated each box and each piece of furniture with great care, maneuvering around tight corners and narrow spaces without a bump or apparent distress. They were courteous and professional throughout the entire job.
They were hired for 2 hours. they completed the job a bit before that and asked if they could do more. They worked up to the last minute. The storage unit packed with care and consideration of space. I think they truly were Experts.

They came on time and called about a half hour before to let me know they were on their way. The 3 movers were able to make everything fit in a Uhaul that a was a tad small. I would recommend them.

I cannot say enough good things about MD Expert Movers! They were right on time, completely prepared, hard-working, courteous, and respectful. In fact, they far exceeded expectations.
I have a large, very heavy sofa-bed that needed get up a flight of stairs: I was worried it would be impossible to get the thing up. The stairs are narrow and steep, and the door at the top of the stairs is also narrow. However, the movers simply carried the sofa-bed up the stairs like it was a lampshade stuffed with pillows. It was truly a thing of beauty to watch them maneuver it, a feat that would have been impossible for me and any group of my friends.
Moreover, they went above and beyond in lots of ways. For instance, I needed to fold all the furniture coverings I'd rented from U-Haul before returning the truck. Without my even mentioning it to them (I'd planned to fold the things myself), they'd taken it upon themselves to leave all the coverings perfectly folded and stacked in the truck before leaving, which is a small thing, but it saved me some time, and demonstrated their meticulousness.
All in all, MD Expert Movers made this moving experience the best I've ever had (and I've moved 14 times). They're affordable, reliable, well-mannered, and they can really move your stuff in and out quickly. If/when I move again, I will definitely use their services! Very highly recommended.

They were very hard workers! They were careful with my belongings and careful not to damage the house while handling my furniture. They wouldn't even take a break for water. I would absolutely recommend them. In fact I had people at my house that day and they plan on using them in the near future!

They were fabulous. They were easy to get in touch with. They called to confirm twice. Once when I booked and once two days before. Relieved me of any concerns. They were neat, clean, on time, polite, friendly and very efficient. We were very impressed. We had Dominick. Bruno and Tibbs. All three were great. They were prepared for the job. They even had a screwdriver to remove the legs from my couch. They finished very quickly. Most importantly they packed the truck so efficiently that nothing was broken after a 900 mile trip. I would definitely recommend them.

This was my first time hiring movers, and overall, it was a good experience.
I hired the team for both moving and the truck they provide. The truck was a 24 ft. moving truck, and the $130 cost included the driver and gas.
My job included the use of three movers for three hours. They were able to empty a two bedroom, second floor apartment, and move the contents to a three story townhome 15 minutes away in just over three hours (they went ~15 minutes over, but didn't charge me for it).
The movers were professional and curious, with very minimal scuff/scrapes to my home or personal property. One couch had to be lifted over a 15 ft tall banister (since it wouldn't make it up the stair case), and the team did it without scuffing or damaging the banister or drywall (which I was sure was going to happen).
The only complaint I have is that a speaker set was damaged (the center cap on two subwoofers are dented, along with some damage to the speaker cabinet), which is why I am dinging the crew one star.
Aside from that , the crew chief Dominque and his team were great and would use them again.

They were on time (actually early!) and worked hard. We had a lot of stuff to fit in our moving truck and they did a great job of organizing all of it so it would fit perfectly! Highly recommend!

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
