Moving is already stressful enough, save your self and dont add more to your stress when you watch these people load your stuff into a truck
Absolutely unbelievable- loaded our stuff terribly and when we made suggestions to what we thought looked like obvious mistakes (heavy boxes on top light boxes on the bottom, mismatching box sizes while loading) we would get a reply like “i know what I am doing” or “dont worry i do this all the time”
First of all with all due respect an older lady and a young boy doing this for the first time showed up and we were ok with it.. then they loaded our containers like amateurs (we would of done a better job) and when we called the supervisor he asked for pics of what they are doing and after he saw them he said it should be fine..
Well im sorry to say they did not know what they were doing at all and they were having TREMENDOUS difficulty moving our furniture and after all after we got to our destination everything was jumbled..
Also we rented two very large PODS which from previous moving experience knew would fit our things comfortably, they managed to be able to make sure they dont fit and we ended up leaving things behind and needing to get rid of them last minute other than the cost of replacing them.
Last but not least it took them 7 hours to do the job because of their inexperience (it took an hour and half for real professionals to unload)
Very very disappointed- dont hire.

Two movers arrived. Seemed unprofessional and very young. I showed them around and they proceeded to move items. to Kept asking me if there were boxes in different rooms instead of looking for themselves despite previewing all rooms ahead of time. The did not have blankets or request if I had blankets. They decided to move things out the back door and alley which is dirty.
The couch is a reasonable size for the space and was easily moved in by the boulder moving company. They originally tried to move the couch out the front door but could not figure out how to tip and maneuver it. They opted to go out the back door. The couch was heavy and they were having trouble moving. They couldn’t figure out how to tip it to get it out the door and had it wedged so it appeared stuck. They were pushing agains the door and wall trying to force it instead of taking time to tip and make a strategy. They tore the upholstery on the corners of both ends. After shoving it and forcing it for several minutes They ended up taking off the door but then realized it wasn’t necessary and that they simply did not have it tipped or angled correctly. They barely were able to get it down stairs. They then tested it on its side on the dirty deck so the couch got black dirt on it. This couch is less than 4 years old.
Likewise The chair is an $800 chair that they flipped over and rested the arms on another table. They did not protect the metal arms with a blanket or any buffer. As a result the arms of the chair were rubbing and the metal is chipped
The damage is not repairable. When the movers in VA unpacked they commented on how poorly the truck was packed and pointed out multiple items damaged.

The Smart Move employees were skilled and followed direction as to where I wanted things without complaint, even though they were working in 97* weather to unload a truck into storage. Very nice and competent young men. Very patient with us. Some things moved stayed in another part of the house and the bulk of our items had to be stored in our pod in the driveway while we did some home renovations. Nothing was an issue with these fellows.
I would recommend them.
I am hiring them to move our items out of the pod back to the second story.

I could not have been happier. The arrived on time and kept me informed of their ETA. Both of the movers worked hard for the entire 2 hour time frame, and they accomplished way more then I hoped. I was very impressed. They were both very respectful and did excellent work. I would use again anytime I need help.

The 3-man crew from Smart Move did an impressive job. These young men were polite and courteous. They worked hard the entire 4 hours and finished the move on time. None of our items were damaged during the move and the walls/floors in the house were not scuffed up either. I would definitely use them again!
