Two men from Universal Movers arrived on time and were prepared to begin work. They appeared efficient and knowledgeable about the moving process. I hired them to load a storage container prior to it being moved to my new address. They loaded the container but did not secure any of the items. During the move of the container, the contents shifted and subsequently boxes, furniture and appliances all fell to the front of the container. This prevented the door from being raised and it took two hours to just get into the container at our new location. Much of my possessions were damaged. There was also a problem with this company after they completed the original booked job, but because it occurred outside of the window for which they were hired, I am not including a review for that. Let it suffice to say it cost me an extreme amount of money, convenience and peace of mind. I would not hire them again.

I know we had a truck full and maybe I should have hired 4 for 3 hours like I did for loading. But everyone says unloading goes much faster. But I will say the two that came busted their butts to get it unloaded I ended up paying for 2 extra hours. It was rainy and their manager ended up stopping the clock at 10. My 10 yr helped them as much as he could and the older man paid him some money for helping which I thought was sweet. I don't think they were prepared for unloading a big 26 ft truck that we moved up here from georgia. As they got tired and it was pushing 11 pm I had them just put the boxes in the dining room to keep them from having to carry to diff rooms. We moved them later ourselves. Our washer and dryer is still in the dining room because the two of them couldn't get them to the basement. They were front loaders and extremely heavy one of the movers was very young and it was his first big move unload. His strength was not quite there . The older man was wearing sandles I can't imagine that was helpful unloading in the rain. He carried most of the weight of stuff. We tried to help where we could. We are not in the best shape. I questioned the manager about possibly needing more people when the two of them arrived. He said they were good and would do a good job. They arrived at 6 left a little after 11 I paid for 4 hours. I did give each one 100.00 each for a tip because they did do the best they could. I would use them again on small jobs I think this one was a little much for them.

Harold and Larry Tackert were awesome! They worked from the minute they got here to the end non stop. They were courteous, professional, careful with my stuff and did a great job packing my container tight. I wish I could have locked them in the container and used them for the unloading in Pittsburgh. Ask for Harold and Larry!

The gentlemen arrived on time and very courteous! They were extremely efficient and the they were able to strategically arrange my items in the Pod with ease! Flawless execution! They were also instrumental in helping me save my TV stand! They took pride in their work and shred their work experience with other moves to assist in reassuring me of their professionalism! I highly recommend them for any moving job!

Universal Movers were great and quick at unloading the truck in a very efficient manner. Job was even done in under the time booked with all items unloaded well taken care of.

They were on time, had everything they needed for the job, they were very respectful of our property and worked hard. They pointed out things that had gotten damage in the POD, before moving them off, so that we could take pictures for insturance. Not their fault, but they understood not moving them off until we noted the damage caused by others.
They got done unloading the POD in half the time we had them hired for. So we asked them to just start grabbing boxes from the garage and hauling them into the basement. And they even moved things around in the basedment to stack boxes together that were marked for the same room so that we could get to one room of goods at a time as we started to unpack and organize. We may take weeks to unpack, but it is better to have this stuff in the basement the garage on these 90 degree days.
I would definately hire them again. Nice young men who had outstanding work ethic. We enjoyed working with them!

I had two PODS. The second POD was not tied down correctly and the boxes in the back should have been secured. They all came down on top the small things in front. Smashing my plants, pieces broken of my carpet cleaner and a broken base from an antique table, scratched dining room chairs and table. I haven't gotten to open all of the boxes so I am not sure what else I will find. I spent 50 dollars on ratchet tie downs, bungee cords and rope. They put most of them still in the package in the POD. I also rented blankets from Uhaul. There was no excuse that I can think of except they were tired and sloppy doing the second POD He kept asking me to rate their service before he left but I wanted to wait til I opened them up and I am glad I waited. They packed quickly but they should have taken more care to secure the items !! Do not recommend these packers.
