Polite, helpful. BUT!!!! Forgot to bring tools for dis-assembly of furniture. A true pro would remember to bring any necessary tools. By accident, one of the crew remembered that he had some tools in the trunk of his car.

Fast, efficient, careful & courteous. They loaded my 16 foot Pod in a little under 3 hours & even helped me move furniture that was not going on the Pod.

My experience was that I hired two guys in a Chevy that showed up with a mountain dew. It was not one of hiring actual moving services. While the individuals showed up on time and worked hard they were not movers. They did nothing to protect the hardwood floors of the beautiful, historic house built in 1904. The had no tools, not even a screw driver to help appropriately pack the furniture (e.g. a roll top desk needed the top removed from the base and they didn't know how to handle the situation). They didn't "pack" the POD. They simply through antique chairs in on top of furniture. This is most likely review 1 or 2 because I am fairly certain that there will be significant damage of the antique furniture when I ultimately retrieve it from POD storage in the near future. I would not recommend, I would not use again. They did not know how to respect the property or goods. They did not know how to be movers. They were two nice guys.

The payment was released by someone even though the job was not complete. S and L company would not give refund after doing 1 hour work for 4 hour job. Also hired company would not return to complete the contracted hours of work instead of refund. Very rude and not helpful. Would not use the service again.

The two gentlemen that moved our belongings into our apartment in a high rise building were efficient and professional. They got the job done in the time alloted. Would hire them again in the future!

These guys were awesome! Talk about an art form. They really know what they are doing. Best money ever spent. Had we packed the PODS ourselves we would have needed another one. I highly recommend S & L Express. They even accommodated us when we had to change the time due to a damaged POD. Do yourself a favor and hire them for your moving needs.

Arrived on time, prepared, extremely hard-working, moved large pieces of furniture down several flights of stairs with tight turns without a hitch. They had a can-do attitude and finished on time and on budget. They asked questions when needed and took care of the rest. A++

They showed up over an hour and a half after the window they told me. I had already just moved most of the stuff by myself because I needed to get the truck back and it was after 6:30pm when they finally arrived. The original guy called me and told me they would be there at 5, then the actual movers called at 5:30 to say they were 40 minutes away, but didn't show up for an hour. They ripped the edge of our box spring and dented a bookcase, and they only ended up working for 30 minutes because we had already moved everything. Shaun, the manager, was very rude and unapologetic when I complained, and made me feel like I was an awful person for complaining about their service and refusing to pay for 2 hours of work that they didn't do. I had to demand a discount, which took me three different phone calls to get. I would not use them again.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
