We hired Metro Movers to load the contents of our 2-bed, 1-bath, second-floor apartment onto a U-Haul. Mixed feelings.
On the one hand, the movers were strong, friendly, worked hard, and took direction well. On the other hand, they arrived 2 hours late because "sometimes it's hard to get everyone together on a Saturday morning," their team leader was absent, and there were signs of inexperience in the way they tried to pack the truck and maneuver big furniture around awkward corners.
Ultimately, they did their best to make up for lost time and successfully got everything onto the truck. Nothing was damaged, aside from the edge of a desk that was scraped against the floor. They're a good crew, but in need of more leadership and experience, and probably a better fit for jobs where the timing is more flexible.

I need to start by saying I'd give the actual movers (the laborers) 5/5 stars. The guys were great, worked tirelessly, and got done quickly. They handled my stuff as if it were their own.
However, I made a mistake and inputed extra hours when signing off on the work. I had to go through not only the moving company, but also HireAHelper SEVERAL times to get my refund. At one point, HireAHelper couldn't even get in touch with the company (they weren't answering/responding to emails). HireAHelped was great and patient with me, but the moving company really needs to work on their customer service.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Our customers will be friendly and professionally greeted. Offered free quote walk through via zoom , FaceTime , or phone call. Will have additional service options like packing , unpacking , and site cleaning .
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
They can expect the crew to show up 10-15 minutes ahead of time . We conduct a short walk through in the home before proceeding to the actual move. We will use that time to map out the process and make sure the floor is clear of clutter for a safe path. Cover and protect hard floors and carpets upon customers request.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
We recommend all customers have items that are being moved packed in boxes or containers ahead of time this way there’s no confusion between loading and packing. This saves the customer time during the move so the movers aren’t packing as a load the truck. Notify us of Pets. Pet allergies are sometimes common among workers.
What types of moves have you handled?
Last year we assisted families on long moves to the south Florida and North Carolina. We offer long distance and local moves. Heavy equipment Moving’s (workout machines, wood grading tools, and safe moving, piano moving, mobile lawn mowers..etc).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
One of the many favorite parts about being a mover is the ability to work outdoors interacting with customers , and the organized process of transferring items out the home into the truck. A sense of accomplishment that comes with seeing satisfaction and ease on a customers face. I enjoy communicating and giving assurance that the job will be completed organized and professionally.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members are to watch three videos we offer on loading , packing , and safety techniques. They are also given a check list of things to inspect and look for before starting any job. All nee recruits work several small two hour jobs with a foreman before heading into bigger jobs that require four or more movers . We need to see the moving potential before the big platforms.
