We chose A positive movers based on the good reviews they received. What a mistake that was. We would never use A positive movers again. Our experience was completely different than those good reviews. When we booked the movers, we were given the name and phone number for Karen as the contact person. We were never able to speak with her. Instead we always spoke with one of the movers who promised everything and delivered less than promised.
We sent him a list and description of everything to be moved, including the number of boxes, and pictures of all but the smallest pieces of furniture. He said we would need one 16-ft pod and possibly one 7-ft pod. By the time the men were done, we needed two 16-ft pods AND the 7-ft pod. The men were friendly and polite but not especially efficient; and we paid for more time than more professional movers would have required for the job.
We told A positive movers we wanted three men on the job, which they confirmed, but only two showed up. When the pods were unloaded at our final destination, we saw just how poorly the loading had been done in NY. Boxes marked “Fragile” were placed under heavier boxes and were crushed. Much of the furniture was chipped and scratched because the blankets we provided had not been used properly to protect it. A desk was in pieces; and another piece of furniture was damaged so badly it could not be saved.
The movers who did the unloading at our final destination told us the move should have required only two 16-ft pods if they had been loaded more carefully. The 7-ft pod had room to spare and was loaded with our items stacked in the back with empty floor space in the front, resulting in free room for items to shift (and be damaged).

Great guys , two very experienced guys that knew what they were doing from the start.. they really put 4bedrooms into the pod , I couldn’t believe it .. not a scratch or anything broken.. thanks Neil

I was charged for the first hour in which the only thing they did was park their car, walk into the building and go back to their car again to get the tools they forgot.
They complained the whole time that this wasn't a typical job because thy were asked to take apart some equipment (which was in the original work order).
They had absolutely no work ethic. I am a 46 yr old woman and I moved more stuff than they did. The freight elevator operator had to step in and help because these guys were lazy and ineffective.
And they brought no materials to wrap or transport anything being moved so each item was done 1 by 1. It was incredible inefficient and a waste of my time and money.

A Positive Movers were on time and did a great job. I was nervous that my POD would not be big enough but they packed so efficiently and everything fit. They definitely knew how to pack. They were respectful and friendly. I would indeed recommend them to other people.

Our movers were AMAZING! They showed up on time and completed our move in the allotted time of 2 hours. They were able to load the POD we ordered with everything we had. We weren't sure it could all fit but they made it happen. They came prepared with the tools needed to take apart the furniture. They were courteous and funny. They were definitely a great team!! I would definitely use them again!! 5 stars in my book!

I usually never write reviews but these movers really had me impressed! They were very professional, punctual, accommodating & understanding. I wasn’t fully prepared with the proper moving supplies to support my TV and furniture, but they both were very understanding and helped me wrap my TV securely with no extra cost! I am so grateful. They cared so much about my furniture and they were fast and gentle. Both guys had great personalities and were very funny. They made the whole moving experience a breeze and enjoyable. I would recommend them to everyone I know!!
