What can a customer expect after booking with you?
A prompt response confirming move details and date/time, as well as touching base for any questions you may have.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We will give a courtesy call/text prior to our arrival. Upon arrival we walk through the home and confirm the scope of work being within initial estimate of time and cost. You can sit back and relax while we get started on protection (Floor runners, door jamb protectors, pad wrapping, etc.) once that is done we safely and efficiently load the truck. Then it’s off to the unload destination and it’s wash, rinse, repeat. :)
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Ensure there is adequate truck parking/access, if some items are staying make sure they are marked and out of the way if possible. Loose pets or children can pose a safety hazard for everyone, so it’s best they be put away or dropped off with family. Close and tape all boxes so they are secure and stackable (unless packing is requested.) You can disassemble beds and other furniture if preferred, otherwise we can handle it.
What types of moves have you handled?
Just about all of them. Our typical moves are local residential moves, but we have been out of state, moved offices, warehouses, and all sorts of specialty items. (Pool tables, hot tubs, and even sheds!)
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I really do enjoy the heavy lifting! Particularly the oversize items such as safes, pianos, etc. I also like packing the truck. The challenge of being able to fit everything and ensuring it arrives safely is quite rewarding.
What training do you provide your crew members?
At this point we have been able to just take on crew members with previous experience, taking out the possibility of getting a novice mover for your already stressful moving day. As the owner I am on just about every job as well, so any new team members get specific one on one guidance on how to do things the ‘On the Move way.’
