Oh my goodness, Gerald and his team were absolute angels in my time of need. I had a company set up for packing and moving who canceled last minute before hiring another company who didn't do what they were supposed to do and caused damage (both still owe me money). I had one more day before being kicked out from my lease and not being in my prime from medical appointments I had during this fun week of 'vacation', while also still recovering from the effects of treatments I endured last year, when I was fortunate to find Gerald and his team.
All of this because the owners 'need' to sell ASAP causing me to lose faith in humanity with everything in my life going wrong, absolutely everything. Gerald and his team helped me regain some of that faith.
Saying these guys get the job done is an understatement. They are absolutely all over it and I haven't seen such work integrity for some time; fast, thorough, diligent, cognizant, aware, not kicking a man down who's already so far down ready to just give up on everything (my endless rewards for making it to 2025 while 2026 is recently questionable), being fun, becoming new friends to my dog and letting him help :), the list goes on...
After all day with me when they heard I needed to clean, said they could help with that too and were willing to keep going. If I wasn't so exhausted I would have taken them up on that.
I do need to compare them to the company that did not have such work ethic. I rented a 26 foot truck and they loaded a single layer running out of room, not getting the larger items they were supposed to (that I would not be able to get on my own), and then they just left.
Gerald and his team met me at the storage unit to unload that before coming back to load the truck right, filling up every inch of the layers up to the ceiling, and there was oh so much room left. The same approach was taken with the storage unit to support me not needing to rent another one.
And with the truck I rented I can only drive forward :)? These guys maneuvered it backing it to anywhere it was needed with ease (ha, thanks again guys!).
It was so great watching these 'machines' work, and how they work smarter not harder. I'll be hiring them again to move things from storage when I have my new home to move my belongings to, and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat afterwards.

They came with no tools. Luckily, I had a Dolly to assist them and they used my tools when necessary to take apart furniture. I specifically paid for them to move a piano down a flight of stairs but they were unable to do so for fear of breaking one of the legs. They worked really hard and I felt sorry for them and tipped them well but they were not strong enough to carry the furniture and dragged it on the ground. Hopefully, I will be able to clean and repair what was damaged. They were unable to move a treadmill out of the house but still somehow managed to scratch up a door that will have to be painted. There were chips in furniture that I saw from them being unable to properly lift the furniture without damaging it or the surrounding area. I would not use them again

The leader of the team was really good.
Two out of three were friendly.
The third one smelled of pot and wore sandals for moving, which I worried may cause him to fall. He was not as friendly.
I still tipped them 30% in cash because I always tip movers well.
It's a thankless job and I get it. We were Happy for the help they provided.
