The guys showed up to help with the move and were very nice. They just showed up with themselves - none of the straps to move large pieces of furniture. I walked them through the house and explained that the most important thing was to get all of the big items into the PODS and not the boxes because the boxes are something my husband and I could move or pack ourselves. i gave them Plastic wrap to go around the hutch since it was glass and I could not put that on until it was off of the bottom, i provided the moving cloths for this as well and about 15 different types of tie downs. We needed the two containers packed efficiently so that we would be able to fit everything and have minimal damage on our move. The guys loaded almost all of the boxes first into one of the pods which at the time I thought was odd but they had seen what they had to pack and were supposed to be professional POD packers so I did not think much of it. Little did I know that when they started to pack the second POD that we were going to run out of room because of how it was being packed and the fact that the first one was mostly boxes without any of the big items in it. I was in and out of the house but my husband had been there the entire time mostly outside and trying to stay out of their way again because our understanding was that this is what they did and they would know the best way to pack the PODs. He walked inside after the bottom of the hitch was brought out and saw that there were scratches all along the brand new LVP that had just been installed less than 3 months ago from the living room to the front door as thought a piece of furniture had been pushed instead of being picked up. Now looking at this we call Hire a Helper because the floors were now damaged - So you have to file a claim at the end of the move because in case anything else broke you are only able to file one claim. This is ridiculous because here it is my floors were not being moved but they were just ruined and its going to take about 10 days to resolve. Well now this is a problem because we sold our house and are closing in less than a week and now have floors that have been damaged. After this I walked out to the POD to find that my furniture has not been properly stacked and none of the tie downs have been used in addition they inform me that they cannot pick up one of the pieces and are out of room with quite a bit still in the house. Basically if I leave the POD stacked how it is i will have all of my furniture broken as it is not properly secured. So now after paying for this service, I have damaged floors and have to unpack an entire POD and repack it myself to make sure nothing is broken in transport.
I am so disappointed in the way that this went and it has made moving much more stressful then it was already. When I hire a company who says that moving is their profession then my expectation is that I do not need to babysit them and tell them how to do their job. Obviously i could have saved my self a whole lot of stress and cash had I just done it myself. I am seriously considering cancelling the help at my new house as I am afraid what type of movers I may get.

The two employees that completed the work were very nice and efficient. The coordination behind the schedulers and the workers was awful. We had scheduled our appointment 2 weeks in advance. The workers called to verify all the information and we were good. The day before the move we were asked if we would be available earlier as a job had been cancelled and I stated most likely. At 6am the day of the move I advised them we would be ready between 130p and 2p. The schedulers of the move however either underestimated the hours needed for an earlier job or inserted a job into the schedule without having a conversation with the workers. They did not show up to our move until 6pm. Fortunately, we did not have a massive amount to unload but this was very disappointing. We were hours behind our personal schedule with no real explanation of why. I also had requested they assembly a bed, and this was not done.

Wonderful experience! Very understanding when we had a mechanical problem with the truck. Didn't mind waiting while the new truck arrived. Very friendly, courteous, and respectful of our things. Kept an open line of communication open to make sure my unorganized move was done properly.
