The Minutemen crew was great. They were very professional and careful with all of our items. The only criticism was that they were scheduled to show up between 9-10am and did not arrive until 10:30. They did call by 9:30 to let me know, and there was some unexpected traffic issues that caused their delay.

Minutemen Haulers did a terrific job for us. We hired two helpers for two hours, but I was sure we'd need an additional hour or two to get everything unloaded from our (packed!) 20' UHaul. I was wrong. The crew (Devin and German) were a great team, and they actually got everything unpacked and carefully placed around our home in UNDER two hours. I was floored. In addition to working hard and being careful with our items...they also had great attitudes and were very courteous. Everything ended up exactly where we wanted it and we were very pleased with the entire experience.

Ryan and Devon did a fantastic job. They were on time, well prepared, very courteous, and worked efficiently. I didn't have to follow them around worrying that they would mess anything up and I didn't have to direct them on how to effectively load the POD. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Only 3 of the 4 workers showed up, but they were on time. They were not prepared with any moving gear: no dolly, lifting straps, tape, box cutter, minimal tools... Basically they came empty handed. One guy gave directions, the other was the muscle, and the third was clueless (afraid to move anything heavy, he just wrapped stuff or stood waiting for directions). They worked hard but not smart, organized, or prepared. It took them 8 hours to fill 2 1/2 storage containers! And the last one they just shoved things in, wasting space, piling heavy things on top of fragile things. It was a complete disaster. They spent over 30 min trying to take apart a dining room table, then my husband came home and unscrewed it (Allen Wrench) in 5 min by himself. Complete waist of money, time, and I'm just hoping nothing was severely damaged. Do not hire them. Also don't hire United Mayflower because they canceled their movers a week before my move but wouldn't let me return their storage containers (or I'd loose $3000), and the containers leaked! That's how I ended up hiring these guys, desperate last minute.
We are sorry to hear you had such a poor experience. Our guys show up to every job with dollies, tools, and moving straps. Additional equipment needs should have been discussed prior to the move, but were not and that is our bad.
The move was made greatly more difficult by the customer not having the necessary amount of furniture blankets for the move, and they had packed all their boxes in one of the PODS prior to our arrival.

The two workers were 40 minutes late to start; the agreed start time was 9:00am, they arrived at 9:40am with no call to notify us of their late arrival; (they called about 5 minutes before they arrived). Although I had informed them that we had moderately heavy wood furniture, they were unable to handle the weight and repeatedly dropped our dresser down each step, damaging the wood front. In addition, two metal electric space heaters were turned on their top with no padding which scratched the tops as a result. They were friendly and courteous, but did not respect our belongings. I would not hire these workers again.

These guys were the best! They ran 1-2 hours late, but called me and made sure I was up to date the whole time. When they did arrive, they got right to work and unloaded my entire, completely full UHaul in under 2 hours. Even put back together some of my bigger furniture. Would recommend to everyone.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
A customer can expect a call from one of our booking agents to confirm the move and go over additional details.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A customer can expect a call from the crew lead an hour prior from the arrival window to confirm the move. Once the crew arrives, they will do a walk thru to ensure the move is completed in an efficient manner and will stay until excused from the customer.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To ensure the move goes as smoothly as possible it is best to plan accordingly. Have furniture pads, stretch wrap and straps/rope ready for the movers to use if you are providing. Book elevators in advance so the movers don't have to wait.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled, local, long distance and office moves in the past.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?

What training do you provide your crew members?
We undergo 2 weeks of training where we will put a trainee with an experienced crew lead before being trusted to work alongside another individual.
