HireAHelper's Review Of A Christian Touch Services - A Local Conover Moving Company

This job was originally scheduled for 2 hourly movers for 2 hours to load a pods container. On the original job order, the customer noted the size of the home, some storage and that all large items will have been removed. Upon contacting the customer, she reiterated the details as described and asked how long I expected the job to take. She at that time told me "the large items had been removed, She did not state from 2nd floor". I told her based upon what she described I expected the pod to be loaded within 2-3 hours which is common for a "single" pods unit.

On 12/13 my crew ran into some traffic issues and didn't arrive until 9:35 am. They contacted me shortly after arrival to tell me that there were 2 pods units and nothing had been removed from the house. As well there was some that had not been packed. We discussed that they had a second job and would not be able to stay to complete everything. They crew was to convey that to the customer.

During the course of the moving labor help, several items were not packed well. One of which was a box containing matchbox cars. When the cars dumped onto the floor, my crew leader put them back into the box they came out of. This was what the customer referred to as "going through their sons matchbox collection”.
The crew was there a total of 2 hours and 50 minutes. During this time they completely loaded one pods container and part of the second. They made a point to load all larger items with the thought they would not have time to completely load the second container. They left the job at 12:30pm and requested the customer contact hireahelper to release payment for a total of 2.5 hours.
I do not believe the crew "spent most of their time on their phones and taking smoke breaks" due to the fact that in 2.5 hours of time they completely loaded one pods container and partial on a second. In my experience they would need to be working at a fast pace to complete this.
The customer contacted me at 2pm that day to complain the crew didn't have time to finish. I told her I was on a job as well and I would see if I could do anything to help out to complete their load and contact her back. At that point I made several calls to try to get someone back to her job but was unable to. All my crews were working until late and were 1-2 hours from her. When I completed my job shortly after 6pm, I tried contacting her to tell her I wasn't able to work anything out. I had not heard anymore until I received an email from her daughter on Tuesday that was sent to both me as well as BBB. She as well left multiple negative reviews (several on each site) on the internet. To my knowledge, they had not tried to contact me prior. I have already communicated back by email and had the customer respond. The customer stated she had the wrong email yet they had the correct email for the email on Tuesday. To date the customer has not responded back again. Resolution should've begun with communication prior to action.
