What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We will start working to get movers on your booking date once we receive your booking form responses. You can expect an email with all the information from our booking form that you filled out as well. Finally, we will contact you to discuss the move and ask any questions we may have.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

You can expect us to be punctual with communication and traveling to the jobsite. Typically our movers will ask you to show us the space we'll be moving in and the objects we'll be handling upon arrival, so we can make a good game plan. Ultimately, you can expect us to carry out that game plan with an emphasis on communication and preventing damage to your belongings and home-- all with a smile!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Customers should have their truck (or other moving vehicle) ready at the job site at the start time. Unless we are providing packing services, customers should have their belongings boxed up beforehand to save time and money. We're happy to do the packing for you, but will need advance notice to do so because of the added time. We recommend purchasing furniture protection pads for your move (blankets and towels work as well for a budget option).

What types of moves have you handled?

We typically handle local moves, though we also have loaded and unloaded the Des Moines portion of interstate moves. We handle home, apartment, and townhouse moves most regularly.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part about being a mover is helping people start new chapters in their lives while getting paid to exercise on the job! I also love the dynamic nature of this work-- each day brings new adventures, experiences, and people into my life.

What training do you provide your crew members?

First, we educate our movers in best practices for common moving situations like loading a truck, navigating tricky hallways/entryways with bulky furniture, and using their equipment. Then, all crew members must go on multiple trial jobs with the location owner for hands-on training before they can be cleared to work on their own. This is to ensure the crew understands our best practices and all other aspects of the job.
