We were VERY impressed by the level of service we received from our movers Mark and Mark. They rearranged their schedule to accommodate our pack date to beat the big snow storm that was expected. They squeezed us in and came at 8am frigid weather to get it done. They worked very hard and they were amazing with their knowledge of how to pack the pod to maximize the capacity and they both had great demeanors. We were SO incredibly grateful for their great service!!! We highly recommend them!!!

Tip Top movers was excellent! They arrived on time, actually they were a bit early, which was fantastic. They move very quickly and bringing my items into my apartment and place them exactly as I wanted them. They were always courteous, as well as mindful of treating my items as if they were their own. Their process was very quick and I was very pleased at how quickly they moved everything in. I would definitely use them for any future moves and recommend them highly to anyone else.

Mark and his partner Mark were the dynamic duo. They were polite, friendly, professional and Senior Mark called it from the outset that the 15-16’ pod I’d ordered was going to be too small and indeed it was. I ended up renting a 15’ U-Haul truck to schlep the rest of the items. Hard luck! I would definitely recommend your company and these two amazing guys. On time, on budget, and thanks for sending them. I’ve sent two other people your way!

Mark and team are very professional and make moving a breeze. They have experience moving furniture and packing things so that they don’t break. Nothing in my POD was damaged! And they unloaded with care and did a great job!

Marc started complaining before even getting out of his car. He was grouchy and snapped at me when I asked questions. He was upset the truck was on a slant, that he had to put stuff in an elevator and claimed the storage unit wasn't big enough. He took the cover off of my lazy boy recliner and then stored it with items on top of it with no cover on. He was upset because I wanted my dressers to go in last for access. He tried to tell me that would take up too much space. I was able to successfully put my dressers near the end with plenty of room to access the drawers. He tried to tell my teen granddaughter how to operate the door into the storage unit when she was making sure they didn’t have to wait to get in or even stop. He worked 15 min beyond the 2 hours without asking if I wanted him to then charged me for it. After all that he was suddenly nice and offered to help with moving my stuff when I got a home and gave me his card to call him direct.
I had friends that came after he left and we finished the job. We were able to put everything in with room to spare.
I will not use his service again or recommend him.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with your experience, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few details that may also be helpful for others planning a move.

A quality moving service begins with gathering as much information as possible in advance so the move can be accurately planned. During our phone conversation, I asked detailed questions in order to understand the scope of your move and schedule the appropriate amount of time. Based on the information provided, a 2-hour move appeared feasible.
Upon arrival, however, I learned that the truck was parked next to the storage building rather than directly at the unit, and that the unit was located on the fourth floor and required elevator access. These details were not mentioned beforehand and significantly affect the time required, as elevator use and longer walking distances increase labor time and overall cost.

When I realized the move would realistically take closer to 3 to 3.5 hours, my focus shifted to determining how best to complete the job within the originally scheduled 2 hours in order to save you money. Any frustration you perceived was not directed at you; it was simply me reassessing logistics under tighter time constraints. I also offered to stay beyond the scheduled time so the move could be completed.

Regarding the placement of your recliner, another chair was placed upside down on top of it to prevent damage and to ensure nothing else was stacked on either piece. We removed the canoes and crates already in the storage unit to create additional space and packed the unit with the end goal in mind, allowing room for your dressers to be placed near the end. Efficient storage planning requires visualizing the entire layout to ensure all items fit safely.

I also appreciate your granddaughter’s assistance in opening the building door. My comment about the door access was meant only as a helpful tip based on industry experience, to reduce repetitive effort. I apologize if it came across as overstepping.

Lastly, I provided my business card because you mentioned you were house-hunting. Many customers prefer to use the same mover again since familiarity with the job can make future moves smoother. Sharing my card was simply a way to express appreciation for your business.

Every item is loaded or unloaded with a focus on protection and safety--for both your property and our crew.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

We take a team-based approach to every move, and the level of efficiency we can achieve greatly depends on how ready the customer's belongings are. To help ensure a smooth and timely process, we ask that all items be fully packed in boxes of containers before our team arrives. Helpful tip: Fully pack each box; a well-packed box is less likely to collapse and is more stable when stacked to form a secure wall inside the moving truck or container. This helps to protect your belongings.
