The service and communication was excellent. I was contacted ahead of time to confirm the date and time. I was then contacted the morning of the unloading to validate timing. The two movers showed up on time, were personable and professional, and worked hard the entire time. My apartment is three floors up and the moving pod was far from the building, which added to the time and effort. But the two gentlemen had smiles on their faces as they worked throughout the morning. I will definitely use them again for any future moves and highly recommend this company.

The movers arrived at my Mother's house in Riverview and started loading small boxes. Keep in mind, my mother is disabled, has a heart condition and is 74. My sister has metal rods in her back and cannot lift heavy furniture either. After discovering that the movers had only loaded up small boxes instead of actual furniture my sister asked them why they did that? They did not have a legitimate answer for her. In addition to the lack of service provided, A Move Ahead broke 3 boxes of my Mother's family heirlooms that are irreplaceable. The monetary value of the broken items are around $500. In addition to the pathetic service of the moving team, Mr. Tony and Annessa Boyd have been serially stalking my family and threatening their lives if they don't pay. They have gone so far as to send pornograpic imagery to my disabled sister, brother and aged/ill mother. The harassing calls start at 3 am each morning and do not end until late into the night. The threats include murder of the entire family and destruction of property. The $ was paid to hire a helper in full, however due to the slipshod work and family heirlooms being destroyed, the $ was sent to the new movers that performed quality work and got the job done. We are going forward with pressing changes against the Boyd's this week.

Wes & Matthew did a great job emptying my POD container. They took care not to damage any furniture or walls and they helped me take packaging material to the dumpster. If I have to move furniture in the future, I will definitely use A Move Ahead movers and specifically ask for Wes & Matthew.

I could not have been more pleased with the service received from A Move Ahead movers!!! Tony is a true magician when it comes to packing a truck. They provided blankets and everything necessary to protect my furniture during the move. They went above and beyond with their professionalism and patience during what felt like a very hectic move, to include working an additional 3 hours beyond the scheduled timeframe. None of my belongings were damaged during he transport, which feels like a miracle for a long-distance move. Unfortunately it looks like I will be moving again very soon but it is a HUGE relief to know that I can count on A Move Ahead Movers to get me back from Point B to Point A. Thanks again!!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After booking with us you can expect a phone call from our offices just to reach out and get a feel for your unique situation. We will go over all needed supplies and firm up all the details.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Upon moving day you will receive a call from your movers within an hour of your booked arrival window. The movers will reach out just to make sure everything is still going according to plan and will give you their expected GPS arrival time. We know that nothing is more stressful than being nervous that the movers aren't gonna show up, so we like to put your mind at ease.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
If you will be hiring us to load your rental truck, trailer or portable shipping container it is imperative that you provide an adequate amount of moving blankets, plastic stretch wrap and rope to avoid serious damage to your items. The blankets can usually be rented with your truck or portable shipping container and are worth every penny. We can provide rope and plastic wrap for an additional fee or it can be purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot in the moving supplies section.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled literally every type of move from local to long distance, from household to office/commercial. We have handled everything from medical equipment to flight simulators and we are equipped to move large items such as pianos and grand pianos.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part about being movers is that we get to help someone with literally the hardest and most stressful task of their adult life.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of our crew leaders are required to have a minimum of 4 years professional moving experience and upon hire, undergo at least 2 weeks of training with the owner of the company (a very particular veteran mover in the industry) before being set free to operate independently. All crew members undergo the same training and we typically only hire crew members who possess at least 2 years minimum professional moving experience. We don't send rookies, period.
