We suffered severe damage at our small business office from Hurricane Ian and, like most of the community, we were overwhelmed and scrambling to find whatever help we can. Chris and Chris from Southern Cross Moving not only were on time and friendly, but they were so quick in emptying our office so the restoration team could gut the unit. I was so relieved I almost cried. As I told them when they finished, they were the easiest thing I had to deal with since the hurricane hit. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! John and Justin were friendly and did a great job. It was a same day request to empty my pod. They were very quick and efficient, respectful of my home, and gentle with the furniture and boxes. I would definitely hire them again.

Showed up on time, packed fast but every piece of furniture has scratches on it. A hutch had all trim broken off and a leg bent. A liquor cabinet had a leg ripped out (should have been packed laying down, not jammed upright in the corner). Corner of the top was crushed.

I'm a bit delayed in providing this review for the superb work of Southern Cross - specifically Kyle, John, Joseph and JT - in unloading our pod and moving contents across our 3 floors. The crew was a bit delayed in arriving, due to circumstances beyond their control, which made me a bit pissy (technical term), but Kyle and the crew won me over with their efficient, courteous and respectful can-do attitude. My father-in-law had been concerned and worried about his treasures collected over a lifetime and we were all impressed with the care given to handling his furniture. This is my 2nd move in 2 months with Southern Cross with two separate leads and I can highly recommend them - in fact I'm recommending them to another neighbor this weekend. Thank you for making our move painless!

Arrived at my door at 9:55a although scheduled for 7-8a. No prior communication of this, rather I found out about the time shift the day of. No calls the days leading up to the move to confirm, overall a one star for communication and being on time.
Once they arrived, there were 3 men, not 4 as I booked. Later received a call from a leader from Souther Cross who told me that someone called in sick, but he would be sending another guy. No additional worker showed up.
Long breaks, compounded by the fact that they came late so as the day heated up (what I was avoiding when I booked them for a 7-8a arrival) which just let to them taking longer and longer breaks each hour.
Messy overall. Stacked boxes in random ways, nothing done with pride, not neat or tidy in any way. One of them kept carrying up the small size boxes, when he could have been carrying more. Another threw cigarette butts on my driveway.
I worked with another mover a few days prior. Night and day difference.
I would not recommend to others.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Upon booking us we will reach out with a courtesy call upon accepting your order and getting details about your move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
If booking a morning job the guys will call when leaving the shop with gps arrival time. If afternoon arrival we will keep the customer up to date with the crews progress on current job.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Box up all miscellaneous items such as lamps, pictures and small items. If needed we can supply packing materials and labor. Make sure they have all personal items they need for their trip put aside.
What types of moves have you handled?
We travel all over the U.S.A and have loaded shipping containers to go all over the world. If it needs to be moved we can get it there, worldwide.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part about this business is helping people that don't have the time or physical ability to do it themselves. I hear from a lot of our customers how they moved themselves so many times but are just to old to do it anymore. That is we come in for their first experience with paid movers to show them how stress free it can be at an affordable price.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are ran through a wrapping and loading class at our warehouse before going on their first job. Proper technique on wrapping furniture to minimize damage and then loading of trucks,pods, and storage units.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.

We do not refund for any unused time.

We can always stay at least 2 hours over the prebooked time.
