Local/long distance moves, Moving labor helpers, Rearrange, and Assemble/ disassemble. _____________________________ Terms and Conditions Two Hour Minimum Required With Every Move. Phone Estimates – It is important to be as accurate as possible when providing an Item List. Your Estimate is based on the Item List that you, the customer provide. We use this Item List to determine how many men and how many hours your job will take. This helps us with setting up our schedule and enables us to give you an accurate Estimate. The Estimate is based on your home being packed and ready to move. Adding a significant number of items to your move after you have given us an Item List will increase the time required for your move, thus, the Cost for your move will increase. Elevators – Be sure to contact your Building Supervisor to reserve the elevator and have it padded for the day of your move. Also, note any time restrictions that might apply. Press wood/Pressboard – Any Kind of furniture that is made out of this material will have very limited to no value as far as liability of the company. The #1 Frugal Movers Company will not disassemble or reassemble furniture made of this material. Should you choose to disassemble your furniture, we will move the pieces and will not reassemble upon delivery. What is Not Covered – Exclusions Understanding the exclusions list will help you prepare better for your move. In addition to the list, we have also provided additional information for each item to help you understand why the items are excluded. Any items were packed by the customer and not by our movers cannot be covered. Why: We cannot be sure how the box, crate or bin was packed correctly. Further, many boxes are used several times and their structure many not be adequate to prevent damage. Any furniture items when no furniture pads are used for protection (based on customer refusal). Why: Hiring professional movers is not our only concern. Furniture pads are extremely important in ensuring that your items are packed safely for transport; (Special Care Items), including glass tops and mirrors or high value items without proper packing and preparation. Why: The best example of these are (Plasma) and (LCD TV’s). These items must be crated or packed in original boxes before shipment. We will not move special care items without packing or crating properly. Clay Pots will not be covered under any circumstances. Should you require the #1 Frugal Movers to move clay pots, full or empty, we will do our best to move them in a safe manner, but being that they may have a crack going through unseen; every bump on the road could cause a breakage. Therefore, we will not be held responsible for any kind of planters/ pots made of clay, porcelain, ceramic or glass. What is covered: Despite the long list of exclusions and limitations; we do cover items that we knowingly or without dispute damage. Released Valuation Coverage is provided on all items dropped or damages on site while in the possession of our movers, assuming they do not meet any of the exclusions above. Damages- At the beginning of every move, the foreman will do a walk-through with you, the customer, and advise you of the wrapping/packing option and cost to protect your belongings during the move. Should you choose to not use our protective services, and sign a release of liability, the #1 Frugal Movers: Will NOT be held liable/ cover/ reimburse you for any damage that may occur because of your refusal to use our wrapping/packing services. Although our movers will be as careful as possible, from time to time damages may occur. If there is damage, notify your movers immediately. Damages must be noted on your contract. If you discover damages after the move, call the office within 5 days of your move. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for moving services have been paid in full. Damages caused while loading or unloading your truck or storage unit: Frugal Movers Company, is only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody, and control. Goods not to be submitted for removal or storage - 1 Frugal Movers will not transport or handle the following items; the following are specifically excluded from this contract. (a) Jewelry, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of any similar kind. (b) Prohibited or stolen goods, drugs, potentially dangerous, damaging or explosive items, including gas bottles, aerosols, paints, firearms and ammunition. (c) Plants or goods likely to encourage vermin or other pests or to cause infestation. (d) Refrigerated or frozen food or drink. (e) Goods which require special license or government permission for export or import. Such goods will not be removed by us except with our prior written agreement. In the event that we do remove such goods, we will not accept liability for loss or damage wholly or mainly attributable to the special nature of the goods concerned. If you submit such goods without our knowledge and prior written agreement we will not be liable for any loss or damages.
They backed into my daughters car, they dropped boxes. Everything was labeled if it was heavy which side up glass etc they still piled heavy boxes on light ones Totes with glass were dropped
They did an amazing job. They were on time, very nice and completed the job under the 2 hours.
Over all my rating would be 2.5, they were not prepared at all. After receiving the emails leading up to the move I was under the impression that they would come prepared to 1. Dissemble and 2. Reassemble what ever it was they needed to do. Well, this was a disappointment because they had ask to use my tools. That’s 1. 2. During the dissembling of my furniture, they left screws at the old house, so that increased the amount of time (of course) they got paid for. However they did compensate me for .5 of an hour. 3. It wasn’t until I had houseguest who informed me that the beds in the guest rooms weren’t secured to the head and foot boards. SMH This made me super critical and I found out that the bed in the master bedroom wasn’t secure AT ALL! I had to remove the box springs and drag the mattress off of the bed frame to reassemble the entire bed. Then both mattresses in my guest rooms were brand new and the failed to secure them in the truck which cause BOTH mattresses to get stained during a less than 10 minute commute between old and new homes. The entire purpose of hiring a reputable company is because you want the peace of mind knowing that the company you choose will represent professionalism. I had to stay within an eyeballs distance to ensure what I asked for was met. 35 items were moved all and it took them 5 1/2 hours???????. It wasn’t the same quality and efficiency of service as stated by my moving truck driver who moved me from an out of state move just 8 months ago. “They moved a an entire home, these guys just moved furniture, didn’t box up anything just furniture! and they took over 5 hours”. In all fairness, the work they completed wasn’t even remotely close to the amount that I was charged and paid for. But the items I asked to be moved were moved...I guess #LessonLearned
