They showed up on time, so good. They were polite and friendly. And they worked hard.

But, the movers were obviously very inexperienced — literally I knew more about moving than they did. It seemed like they were not regular movers, but day-labor hired for this.

I specifically mentioned needing to move a couch out a window when booking, and with a second call to them the week before to confirm. They tried to move it out with rope wrapped around the sofa, but otherwise unattached to anything (the bannister of the balcony it was going over is metal in concrete, so it’s not like there wasn’t something to use) The lead guy swore he could keep it from falling with that rope and no belay. He didn’t. It first went over, then slammed into my balcony on one leg. Once that was loose, it fell to the bannister of the balcony below. It got damaged twice during that stage. And only then did it get down without more damage.

I provided moving blankets. They weren’t used on wooden furniture, but used on other things which didn’t need them. They used plastic wrap on things that didn’t need them, and didn’t on things that should have. I provided furniture bags. I had to tell them what they were and to use them. I provided a mattress bag, which I had to tell them to seal. Stuff like that all over.

The guy who was doing the packing had nothing but problems. I had a ton of book boxes. I mentioned this multiple times before we started. But the packer wanted all the other boxes, then went for the book boxes. All 40 of them. He then lamented that “if he’d known ...”. He tried to pack picture boxes under other things. I had to tell him no. He tried to pack stuff on fragile boxes. Again, no. He was packing heavier things on lighter things. He put things that are damageable in bad spots. I provided 6 ratchet-types and hundreds of feet of nylon rope. He didn’t use tie downs until I mentioned it, and then used some crazy way of tying it down, instead of using the tie loops on the side of the pod properly.

I will say, all of them were always polite, and took my suggestions on what to do well. They were as professional as they could be.

But the point of hiring these guys was that they are supposed to be PODS experts as well as moving experts. And neither was true.

It took 3 hours longer that the PODS rep insisted it would take — I was not surprised by this, but was mad that it cost me more because of it.

And this is with me pre-packing all of the stuff that could be boxed, in boxes. Call it 70% of my stuff.

It was a cluster. If my stuff gets there in one piece, I will be absolutely shocked.

I would recommend not using PODS or these guys. These guys, you can guess why; PODS, because they recommended these guys. At least with full-service movers, they know what they’re doing, and I wouldn’t have had to do all the packing.

They were amazing and very professional. They packed an almost impossible amount of stuff into a small pod. Both gentlemen were friendly and amazing to myself and my elderly mom to reassure her that everything would fit. I would highly recommend them for any type of moving or packing job.

The two men who came and moved my items were fantastic I hope I get them each time I use this company very nice, helpful they asked if I wanted things out together and never complained and it was 104 outside and they had to hand carry everything up a Extremely steep driveway and then up a set of stairs to get into my house. I felt so bad but they didn’t excellent job I highly recommend! These two men deserve a raise I think best workers I’ve seen!

I spoke with the owner a couple times prior to their arrival to coordinate. He shared good information with me and let me know his guys would be ready to go even if our pod delivery from PACKRAT was late. Luckily, everything was on time....no wrinkles.

Jimmy and Jose showed up, cheerful and ready to work. It was ridiculously hot and humid that day. They worked hard and fast yet took great care in unloading my mom's stuff. I've moved many times in my lifetime and I can say, without a doubt, that this has been my best experience with any movers.

I don't want to move anytime soon but if I do, I know who to call.

Thank you so much

Crew was professional. One guy was sick so the owner pitched in to help so I still got four movers. Only charged me for three and amended the contract. Very polite and worked quickly. Would highly recommend to hire for unloading pods.

Harris Move out the way did a very good job for us. They showed up a bit early, got right to work, moved everything as we asked, pit up with out changes of mind, and finished a bit earlier. They handled our things with care and were easy to be with. I highly recommend them.

Very good movers. They arrived on time, handled all our furniture well, were easy to deal with, and help figure out what to do with the things that could not fit into the storage bin. Very friendly and easy to have in the house. We plan to use them again.
