USE EXTREME CAUTION! I hired D. Law based on their solid reviews on HireAHelper.com to load my trailer for a move across states. On the day of the move, Derrick and Julian showed up on time, and despite the weather being awful, were polite and fairly efficient. They brought the complimentary plastic wrap I requested in my order, and I told them when they showed up to "wrap everything" they could. I even provided additional plastic wrap, blankets, covers, etc. Additionally, thoughout the day, I consistently reminded them to wrap items, which they said they would do. I also checked in on their loading throughout the day, but also was busy with my own affiars and couldn't (and shouldn't have to) breath down their neck.
I even tipped them at the end of the day, which I completely regret.
My unloading day-I also hired these movers through HireAHelper.com. My movers open my U-Pack trailer and it was a complete and epic disaster from a packing standpoint. The lead mover and company owner said whoever packed this was ignoring the most basic and fundamental rule of packing...you have to have separation (meaning padding of some sort) between wood/metal/glass etc. Wood tables were upside down on wood tables, with nothing in-between. Stuff was thrown everywhere. The best (meaning worst) example...A very nice BBQ grill PACKED UPSIDE DOWN WITH A 100 POUND POT DESIGNED FOR LARGE PLANTS ON TOP! Needless to say, it was completely bent out of shape. Honestly, this is just scratching the surface, pun intended. Most of the things we owned were damaged on some level.
In short-I actually believe that Derrick and Julian from D. Law movers are decent guys, and they might normally do acceptable work. In hindsight, I think they were really rushing to finish my job that day, and I don't know why. What I do know is my family's stuff was damaged because of them.

I was 100% pleased with D. Law's work. They arrived as scheduled, surveyed the job, and got started immediately. They were extremely careful not to let the furniture come into contact with anything as they carefully moved it out, even carrying very heavy things down a narrow two-landing stairway. I had them do only the loading (I had done the packing and wrapping), and they loaded the trailer expertly, using all of the space and keeping things sturdy and orderly. They finished in less time than I had anticipated, but only because they were very good and fast--not because I had actually overestimated the size of the job (I've had lots of experience loading relief containers myself). I would absolutely hire these two gentlemen again if I needed help with packing or loading. They take pride in their work, and it was a great relief to not have to worry about the household goods.

TERRIFIC! I cannot say this enough. They were about to beautifully load my entire 630 sq ft apartment into a 16 ft penske truck in about 80 minutes. They worked very hard, saved me time as a result, and didnt cut any corners. I would strongly recommend these guys, ESPECIALLY after using busy bees to unload the truc when I moved to Dallas. Derrick and his group are lightyears beyond busy bees.

D. Law Moving Operations went above and beyond when it came to my move. I called them at the last minute on New Years Eve to help me with my move when my other movers no showed. They showed up on time and were polite and very quick in starting my move. They took very good care of my stuff when moving it. They were incredible! I would HIGHLY recommend them!

I hired three moving men; what showed up was one moving man (the owner) and two very young men (probably still in high school). One of these young men was shorter than 5' 2" and must have weight a maximum of 130 lbs. The other young man was tall and very slim; if either one of them had showed up to load the truck they would not have had the knowledge or strength to bring down my heavy pieces from the second floor.
Therefore, to me they misrepresented themselves; if I hire three moving men, I expect three moving men not boys who don't know the moving business and are not strong enough to move heavy furniture. The only reason they somewhat turned out at the job was because it was an easy move - from the truck to the storage unit which was about 3 feet away.
I would not recommend the "D. Law Moving Operations."

I hired two guys for three hours to help unload a very full 16' POD (I know the website recommends 2 for 2hrs with a household my size, but I was glad that I booked the extra hour or else I would have been worried about time and not about the job at hand). The guys showed up within the alloted hour with a dolly, a hand cart and furniture blankets as requested. They worked hard, were very polite, and took instructions well regarding to which rooms items belonged (they even relocated a bed that was placed in the wrong room due to my mistake). They were mindful of my stuff, and nothing was broken as far as I can see.
I would easily use D. Law Moving again. And I definitely would recommend Hire-a-Helper to quickly find laborers, especially for someone relocating to a new town, like me.
