Three young men were going to be a !little late and they contacted me to let me know. When they arrived they went through the house with me getting an idea of what was to be placed in the pod. After that it was nonstop. I was amazed at the precision of the packing. They even took some of my last minute things.
I would definitely recommend Yellow Dolly to anyone who is moving.

Greg, Kevin, Eric and Tyreek were amazing. They were punctual, were well-prepared for all aspects of our move, worked extremely hard in the heat, were respectful of us and our property. 10 out of 10, would use again and would highly recommend.

They were great and finished in 1 1/2 hours but we were charged for and extra hour for $180. I don't understand and feel like we have been ripped off...not by the guys that did the work but by the owners who really make the money!!!! What a ripoff!

They were right on time. They were very prepared and used their own equipment including shrink wrap. They worked very hard with no breaks. They were super respectful which I really appreciated. I would definitely use them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First, there was no communication regarding confirmation of my move. I booked the move 7/19 and two gentleman show up at my house on 7/18. That was red flag #1. The next day, when they did arrive on the correct day, the gentleman were visibly high with bloodshot eyes stinking of marijuana. Because they were high they were moving very slowly and after 2.5 hours had only moved two mattresses and a couch into the PODS container. I tried calling Yellow Dolly myself with no answer. I finally asked the two movers to have their supervisor call me. I spoke to their supervisor who then told them to leave. Yellow Dolly then refuses to send other movers to complete the job so then I had to find new movers last minute. When I spoke to Yellow Dolly and Hire a Helper they were very unhelpful. All they did was try to justify the poor performance of their employees and still had audacity to charge me over $600 for an unfinished job done by two men high on marijuana.
This company is a scam. What they do is underestimate the time required when you initially ask for an estimate and then purposely take more time on the day of the move to charge you more. Their base rate of $180 per hour is ridiculous. The two men I found on my own after Yellow Dolly and Hire a Helper completed the job in less than 2 hours at $125 per hour. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.
You received this message and sent a thumbs up reply. The reason you were not able to get in touch with me and the guys were able to is because you sent text messages which I can’t stop moving to check all those, but I can answer a phone call on Bluetooth and keep working, and they called me.
You were upset because the time was going over what you expected and you didn’t want to pay over two hours. Your main concern was that you said the guys were incompetent because they spent 30 minutes taking apart your bed which had 16 screws on the slates and several bolts that were placed at hard to get to angles.
I offered to have the guys leave and send another crew later and you stated that didn’t work for you that you wanted the crew that you just referred to as incompetent to continue working, for free, until the other crew arrived. I explained that all crews that we had were scheduled and that would cause us to be absurdly late to the other clients we had booked. Your response was “you are going to keep these guys working until the other crew gets here and I’m not paying anything over two hours or I’m going to leave the worse reviews you’ve ever seen on hireahelper, yelp, google, and every other platform that you are on”.
While we do what we can to keep reasonable clients happy, you were not being reasonable and this was a blatant attempt at coercion which is something we will not tolerate.
Factual, inaccurate, and misleading information in your review:
1. “First, there was no communication regarding confirmation of my move.” – We called you the day you booked us and you were sent a text message the day before the move stating “They will be there around 8:00 am and will contact you again an hour before they get there to let you know they are on schedule.” Names and phone numbers for the guys were provided, you received this message and responded with a thumbs up.
2. Movers showed up on wrong day initially – We left you a voicemail on 7/17 asking you confirm the move that we had in our books for 7/18. The movers sent you a text message on 7/18 an hour before they arrived and you confirmed the address. The mover responded “ok thanks it says we shall be there around 8 so we’ll be seeing you soon” and you responded “Sounds good thank you. See you then” – He told you they were on the way and would be there at 8:00 am and you acknowledged you would see him soon on the wrong date.
3. Accusations of marijuana. We drug test our guys upon hiring and regularly. I had them drug tested immediately upon these accusations of being high on the job and they passed the drug test.
4. “When I spoke to Yellow Dolly and Hire a Helper they were very unhelpful. All they did was try to justify the poor performance of their employees” - You kept referring to our company as a “deadbeat” company. The Hire a Helper customer service employee tried several times to calm you down and we both tried to explain why the job took longer than the two hours you prebooked for. Loading always takes more time that unloading. The Bed took about 25 minutes to take apart. Doing prep work such as taking the legs off your tv, wrapping several pictures, and wrapping all the wooden furniture in blankets and shrink wrap took time. Everything they moved into the pod came from upstairs. The stairs had a landing which made navigating the sofa, chairs, and beds down the landing without damages take more time than same move without the stairs would have taken.
5. I offered to send a new crew the next morning as all of our crews were booked for the entire day. You refused until you found out there was a possibility that Hire Helper could not find her another company to complete the job. You then agreed that the “deadbeat company” could finish. Upon further reflection, I called back and asked Hire Helper to please find her another company because it was a no-win situation. The Hire Helper representative assured me he would.
6. We never gave you any time estimate and certainly did not tell you that we thought loading a pod from the second floor with furniture disassembly could be done in two hours.
7. “The two men I found on my own after Hire a Helper completed the job in less than 2 hours at $125 per hour.” – I believe that to be absolutely true. We did well over half the work already. We disassembled and wrapped all the furniture and moved the most time-consuming items like couches down the stairs. As far as the other company having a cheaper rate some companies don’t have insurance, workers comp, uniforms, and other overhead. Of the $674.56 we only got $411.66 Hireahelper kept 39%

Arrived right on time and went to work. I have NEVER met 2 young men as polite as these two. Extremely cooperative and knew what to load in right place. All furniture was wrapped and plastic covered.
