I was fortunate to have Adrian and Danny help me move. Here some personal background about myself. I like to pack up all my stuff that I view as valuable. But Adrian and Danny were phenomenal in assessing what items they were going to wrap and protect during this move process. Specifically, my grandmother's dresser that means the world to me. They (Adrian and Danny) were professional, respectful, and honest. I hope to move in another year or two. I will definitely be using JFK movers in the hopes I get those two again. We were not pleased with our service from the moving company. We agreed that they could come later than originally scheduled-new time between 1-4pm. They showed up right at 4.
One of the movers was great and was a hard worker the other one was not. He spent more time talking and walking around then actually moving our items. This less efficient worker also asked my ladies there to help him by shrink wrapping some of the items themselves.
If both movers were efficient this moved should have only taken the 4 hours that we hired them for but instead took an hour longer-total time 5 hrs 15 min.
The movers told us about the additional hour AFTER my assistant in CA paid them both a tip; this is a little skeezy. We were told that if we paid them directly it would be less expensive so she paid them $100 cash for the additional hour. They assured us that we would not be billed.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience you had faced with the service of our company, but let me be more clear in this actually.
As you are aware of the current happenings with the spreading of the virus and in spite of that there have been more demands for the moving from the customers than ever been before. When we take jobs for the afternoon time we always warn them against probable window time. Because of the much work and demand, one will do both morning and afternoon jobs and we can't exactly let you know how much time the morning job takes and at what time we be at your place. That's why we told you 1-4 pm slot and showed up at 4 not later actually. Our movers are doing their best to please customers and it is the first priority above all else
For the additional hour, HireAHelper didn't charge you. As it was late for the end of the work and they were closed, so we decided to charge you for the additional hour thinking you would save money for that. We wanted you not to pay more than that actually. Challenges are presented every day and here at JFK Moving Co. We do our best to get the job done and even our best efforts may not seem sufficient as moving is not easy as I’m sure you will agree but we get the job done and we are grateful to serve you.
As you can see in other reviews we handle moves at an elite level but if we fell short that day we apologize may you prosper and enjoy your new home.

The two young men did an excellent job. The were courteous and kind. It took longer than any of us anticipated and they stayed until the job was completed. They smiled and never complained. I'd definitely hire them again
