Marbury Movers started in 2018 as a sole proprietorship. I previously worked in the moving labor industry for four years where I learned how to manage field operations, properly load and unload, and safety procedures for moving extra heavy items. I also give back to the community by contracting homeless men who are looking to get back into the community. We dispatch a team of two helpers (one driver) on most jobs but always have at least four helpers on call. We offer load/unload, pack/unpack, assembly/disassembly, in-home labor, cleaning, and trash removal (to your site's dumpster/or curb). Our team works together to make your move less stressful.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After booking with us you will receive the help that will make your move less stressful. Our Moving Coordinator will initiate contact via phone or text to confirm your appointment details. This first step is important because the calendar books quickly, therefore your quick response helps to secure your appointment. Our Moving Coordinator will be your point of contact until the day of the move. Once your appointment is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email and access to our client portal.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day you will be contacted by the Field Supervisor who is assigned to your job. They will verify the address and confirm their arrival time. We ask that you be ready to go when the team arrives.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please make sure that all items you don't want to get accidentally scratched or damaged is wrapped with protective padding or bubble wrap. Make sure there are clear paths in your home to safely move the items out of the home. Complete packing before the movers arrive. Have all beds, tables, TVs, etc disassembled and ready to load. Tell us in advance about extra heavy items. If you require additional services, please contact us before we arrive, so that we can adjust our team to accommodate your move.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled local residential moves from homes, apartments, and storage facilities. We have done special moves that required specific loading to accommodate long distance traveling and several drop off locations. We have moved extra heavy items like safes, pool tables, and appliances. We specialize in next day moves. We have successfully completed several moves with less than 12 hours notice.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Helping others safely move and start anew in their new place. My specialty is packing the truck. I am able to walk into a space and visualize how to load it on the truck.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of our crew receives instruction on safety procedures and techniques to ensure that the move goes smoothly and that we treat our customer's belongings like ours. All crew receives on the job training as well.
