Broke an item and haven't made it right. Did as little as possible - If I said chairs went on the porch, they'd take two and as soon as I wasn't looking just put the other two matching chairs down whereever they felt like. I had an hour unused on the service so they had time to do it, but overbooked their day and were determined to give bad service to four people that day instead of good service (and the time paid for) to two or three people.

I hired two helpers to assist in moving a small two bedroom unit into a container. The helpers arrived 45 minutes early and included three individuals. Although the helpers were eager to get going on the job, the seemed to really rush. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate hustle, but they hustled a bit too much. They didn't appear to pay attention to fragile boxes and often were almost running into each other. They took all of my items down into my garage and haphazardly set them there. I understand needing to set all items out so they could effectively pack the container, but there was no rhyme or reason as to how the set the boxes into the garage. In doing so, they entered the garage and knocked an item off some existing boxes, thus breaking it. Fortunately it wasn't anything of value.
My biggest complaint is that the movers took it upon themselves to dismantle items that did not need to be taken apart (couch that already had two detachable pieces, an adjustable bed frame). They did not ask my permission and had no intention of putting these items back together once they reached the downstairs. I had to explain to them that I am a single woman and did not have readily available to me assistance in putting some of these items together once I got to my new location (which was out of state). They begrudgingly put together only the couch. I suppose I'll figure out the adjustable bedframe.
I will say the movers did effectively pack the container in what looked to be very solid. But I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous that some of my more fragile boxes, appropriately labeled, were placed in good locations.
Overall I would cautiously recommend this moving service. Just be watchful and voice your needs.

J & M Moving did a super job on emptying my two containers. They arrived on time, were professional in asking to see the house to get the layout, and worked the entire time. They were pleasant and had energy long after I was tired of all my stuff. I would use them again for any moving I had to do. They made short work of a challenging job.

Accommodated a very last-minute request for help unloading a moving truck at a very reasonable rate. Crew arrived early - after calling to confirm that would work for us - and finished the job in record time! They were prompt, polite, professional and friendly.oved even the heaviest and most awkward pieces with care. Highly recommend and will be using their services again, particularly if we can get the same wonderful crew we had this first time using their services!
