By most normal on-paper aspects, they were 5-star. They were punctual, prepared and finished the job ahead of schedule. They were well equipped to lift my most challenging items, including a challenging custom desk and a large leather recliner sofa.
However, if you think this company is all about "white glove service", manners, and showing courteous intentionality before acting, think twice.
I wish they would have been more careful with my possessions, instead of dropping them on the floor as if everything I owned was a 300lb steamer trunk. At one point, I was worried they were going to let my $2500 desktop computer fall 10 feet out the moving van so I went up an intervened between their moving trips. The sofa also ended up with a 1 inch tear in the back, although I'm not certain if I can pinpoint that to their work.
One of them also had quite the attitude the day of the move, which multiple people around me noticed.
Furthermore, they knew they'd get the job in time, but being their first job of the day I noticed little sense of urgency in them when it came to return trips up to unload the truck, as they were face-in-phone whenever they weren't
Compared to service I had with movers for the same same price from my out of state move the day prior (in a more expensive area), I can't say these guys were 5-star.

The two guys were very friendly and did a great job. They got all the heavy pieces of furniture and boxes moved without problem. They were right in time and very efficient. The only frustrating aspect of this service was that I had to pay for two hours of work when I only needed them for one hour.

They called to say they would be late two guys were 20 minutes late and one guy was an hour late.
They took apart furniture but never put it back together.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
When a customer books with 5-Star Movers, they can expect a prompt phone call to go over the details of the move, and discuss what the best options are for the customer to make the move go as smoothly as possible.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The customer should expect a crew that moves their items quickly and efficiently, while also being lighthearted and able to joke around with them and have fun on the moving day.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should prepare for moving day by making sure they have plenty of ratchet straps and blankets so our team can come in and make sure all of their items are packed as securely and safely as possible. If it is a larger apartment complex, we advise that they reserve a freight elevator for use during their move.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done all types of moves from long distance full-service jobs to California, office moves, full PODs packs, and even just moving a couch around in a house. We can do it all!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is the variation in environment from day to day. Sometimes I could be working at a 8000 square foot mansion with a 6 man crew, other days I could be working at a studio apartment with one other person. Every day is truly different, and that's what makes it exciting!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members all know how to use basic tools for assembly and disassembly, they know how to use moving equipment such as dollies and shoulder straps to make the move smoother. Our experienced guys are very good at loading trucks, and show the new people how to do it so they can one day be a great loader as well. We also prioritize attention to detail and will miss out on jobs sometimes rather than ever sending a crew we don't believe is 5-Star quality.
