They did the job, however there was no care in the handling of my property. Things were just thrown, dropped and damaged. Truck was just packed however it went in and it was unloaded as quickly and haphazardly as possible. It just seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Only one of the three seemed to know halfway what he was doing. I have moved many times in the last few years and have had no problems with any of the companies I have used. I am very forgiving and overlook many things but sadly I cannot recommend this group of movers.

HireAHelper confirmed 11am to Noon start, mover claims they don't work that time slot and didn't show up until after 4 pm. It got done. They worked hard. They didn't break anything. But the delay was very disruptive of our plans and no one seemed inclined to take responsibility for it other than a 5% per hour late discount by HireAHelper.....thanks....not much but something.

Last Minute Movers advertised a three-man special but only sent two helpers and arrived 2.5 hours late. While I waited for the helpers to arrive I loaded three SUVs by myself. The two helpers were polite and worked hard, however, one of the helpers wore sandals which from a liability stand point as home owner was risky footwear for moving a large refrigerator. Overall the two helpers were good guys but I wouldn't use this company again for failing to send all 3 helpers and for showing up so late.

Job was longer than anticipated due to storage unit on site was inconveniently located and an elevator was required to unload truck. Unload from truck to my apartment no problem and straightforward. This was not a reflection on movers but did cost me two more hours not expected. Also no hand truck was brought due to a team member not present who has the hand truck and a substitute person was used. A hand truck and/or a flat Dolly would have made the move faster. This was not good planning as I did request at least a hand truck up front. Overall a good job and worked hard but needs better preparation. Also I gave drinks to workers who do this for a living knowing how hot and tiring the work is...should bring their own beverages for hydration and be better prepared for their job.

You can expect communication from us untill we arrive. When we arrive we will introduce our self's and do a walk through to assess everything that needs to be moved. We will discuss with you the best options to relocate your items tarnish free so we are all on the same page. After the game plan is established you will be amazed with the techniques and equipment we use and blown away by our packing skills. So keep your expectations HIGH!!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The most important thing a customer can do is provide adequate protection for all there items such as moving pads bubble wrap and shrink wrap. Also let us do all the packing of the pod or truck. Make sure everything is packed in boxs and all units that need disassembled are broke down and ready to go.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The best part of moving is being able to take away the stresses that come with relocation for all of our customers! We enjoy helping the average hardworking American. There is nothing like the feeling of appreciation after a flawless relocation!!!
What training do you provide your crew members?
LMM is a family owned company that has passed down moving experience generation after generation. When we are training new employees we always send a 3rd man at no extra charge so that way the customer will always have 2 experienced movers at all times. This has been our practice for years and it is very effective ending in no damage to our customers belongings!!
