Please read the rating story. The employee for King of quality pack and Move (KQPM) was EXCELLENT, unfortunately he was stuck with a helper that was picked up at Home Depot. The helper had very limited knowledge of English and the KQPM person was getting very upset. He called the office and asked for different help, but none was available. The helper could not understand directions resulting in DAMAGE to furniture. (large gouges in the bed frame).
If all that was required of the helper was to move boxes he would have been ok, BUT we were wrapping and disassembling large pieces of furniture and we were very worried about the safety of the items. The gouging took place almost immediately on there commencement of work as the bedroom set needed to be taken apart. After that the KQMP called and talked to office but to no avail. The Packing fell to the KQMP person entirely with my and my wife's help. He was EXCELLENT!
The insurance that comes with the packing job is based on weight of items (no we did not buy additional insurance). Should we have? If i had known the skill levels yes, if all were KQMP people no.
The insurance payout will not cover the repair but it is something. If it were a expensive lamp or glass piece the minimal payout would be an insult as it would not cover replacement or repair. For a heavy bed it covers some of the repair.
I would use KQPM again but would insist on there people only, no day labors that can not understand instructions. (Non english speaking )

The issue I had was that the movers did not show up and I did not receive any call until I spent 45 minutes trying to find out why. When the movers did show up 3 days later they were not really doing a great job packing. They seemed more in a hurry to do the least amount of work and get out. I am not sure I would use them again.

The helpers staff were amazing , efficient and knowledgeable. They did an amazing job and I am thrilled. Would not hesitate to call them again !!

King of Quality has to be considered false advertising. I suggest you go else where. 3 guys turned up an hour late, stinking of weed. 2 disappeared for an hour and a half to get plastic wrap from home depot and get their lunch. The 2 came back just in time for all 3 to stop for lunch. Then they started, they did work hard getting stuff to the truck but didn't pack it well at all. We don't have much furniture but they managed to loosely fill a 26' truck and still didn't get everything in. The additional space cost us extra. They didn't strap anything in or down, so everything jostled around in shipping.
Now, upon arrival, almost everything is either broken or damaged in some way. I, like you, expect something to arrive not as it departed but we had so much stuff damaged. Even the furniture they plastic wrapped (that took an hour and a half to get) was damaged.
Save for belongings and get a professional moving company, learn by our mistake.
King of Quality these people are not!
