You underestimated this move by a long shot. You need to understand that the move is completed when our time is up. You booked 3 hours to load a 5 bedroom house into 2 16ft containers. We were only obligated to stay the 3 hours you booked plus 1 additional hour that we guarantee to have availability for. We stayed 2 additional hours at your direction. You became very upset when the crew informed you that they could not stay beyond the 2 additional hours provide because they had another move that they had to get to. At this time you released the payment for the original 3 hours but failed to add the additional time to the invoice when you released payment. When the mover brought it to your attention you refused
to pay for the additional hours provided and demanded that we finish the move the next day. When you requested that the movers stay extra time to try and get everything loaded, we did so. After everything was said and done there was still a lot of stuff to be loaded and just not enough hours in the day. You refused to pay based on your assessment that one worker was doing more work than the other. It is actually comical that you expected us to come back when you literally asked us to stay 2 extra hours then tried to be slick and only released payment for the original 3 hrs when we were done. You expected us to load a 5 bed room house into 2 16ft containers in 3 hrs? How could you possibly think that we would come back out to finish the job when you literally ripped us off on the 1st encounter. What is even more comical is that you sat there and wrote in your review that you feel taken advantage of, yet, you are the one who requested we stay longer and then refused to pay for the additional time. Talk about being taken advantage of, in fact that is actually known as theft of services in the state of Florida, it's backed by a legal statue and literally against the law. In Florida, theft of services, also known as unauthorized reception of communication services or utility services, can result in penalties ranging from misdemeanor fines to felony jail time, depending on the value of the services and any prior convictions. Common examples of theft of services include "dine and dash" at restaurants, unauthorized use of cable or internet services, and refusing to pay for professional services. Specifically, theft of services is addressed in Florida Statutes Sections 812.14 (utility services) and 812.15 (communication services). Petit Theft of the First Degree: If the services are valued between $100 and $300, it's a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Oh, by the way, if you're gonna tell it tell it all. When you asked us if we were coming back out to finish loading the second container the following day I said as long as you pay the additional time from the previous day. You literally tried to tell me that once we got everything loaded you would consider paying the additional time. Tell me, why would we come back out a 2nd day and work for what ever price you felt was due. That makes absolutely no sense. Absolutely no promise was made to you that all of your stuff would fit nor was any promise ever made that we would stay countless hours to load every item. Don't forget that you only prebooked 3 hours and we schedule other moves around yours based on the time booked. You simply had too much stuff and did not book enough time. Accusing Rico of not doing as much work as Tim is upsetting. Our guys are trained professionals and we systematically wrap, run (carry to the PODS) and load furniture in these containers, utilizing every inch of space while properly protecting your furniture.
Your poor experience is a direct result of your poor planning that you tried to pass off as an issue created by us or that we were somehow responsible for. This response may be a bit unprofessional but you were ridiculous and never ceased to amaze me throughout the entire process.
