I had Ron and Will and they were excellent!! Very competent and also kind. They managed to get everything to fit into my POD and strapped down so it could travel without issues. I would use them again in a heartbeat if I'm ever back in the area!

My appointment time was between 9:00 and 10:00am. They were an hour and fifteen minutes late and I had to keep calling them. My son and friends loaded the truck and I just ask the movers to meet me at the unloading destination. I explained to the movers we were unloading here and to go inside and get the lay of the land. They didn’t listen to a word I said and started bringing things out we had already unloaded. During the one hour they were there they didn’t follow any of my instructions and just put things wherever. I had a reservation for five hours and had to pay a two hour minimum. So I didn’t leave a tip because they worked less than an hour and I had to pay for two. If I hadn’t lined up some family and friends to help me move my moving day would have been a complete disaster.

I am writing to express my formal complaint and deep dissatisfaction with the moving services provided by the company recommended through PODS. The experience was not only unprofessional—it was appalling from start to finish.

To begin, the movers arrived over two hours late. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to get a clear ETA, and a customer service representative had to intervene just to determine when (or if) they were actually going to show up. When they finally arrived, they did not begin working right away. Instead, they took an immediate smoke break and delayed the actual start by at least 15 minutes.

Throughout the scheduled two-hour window, they continued to waste time—eating popsicles, smoking, and generally loitering—while my prepaid time was being burned away. One of the movers even gave me his personal phone number and suggested he could return later if I came to pick him up after his next job. I have written messages from this mover admitting they “hardly got anything done” and that he felt bad. While he offered to come back, I declined—by that point, I was frustrated, running out of daylight, and emotionally exhausted.

Because of their delays and lack of productivity, I was left scrambling to finish loading the POD myself, in the dark, under intense stress. The PODS driver who arrived early the next morning graciously offered me 15 additional minutes and even helped load items—something that should never have been necessary had the movers done their job. I lost valuable time, daylight, and peace of mind, and instead of having a stress-free experience, I was left in complete disarray.

Additionally, one of the movers was blatantly lazy and disengaged. I had to physically assist with loading just to keep things moving—and more importantly, to try to safeguard my belongings from the negligence I was witnessing. When their two hours were up, they had the audacity to ask me to pay them directly—without notifying their employer—despite the fact that they had delivered substandard and incomplete service.

To make matters worse, their actual handling of my belongings was careless and damaging. I provided ample supplies—five rolls of bubble wrap, tape, blankets, and straps—all of which were either ignored or used incorrectly. A brand-new couch was stacked improperly, resulting in two visible tears. My treadmill's screen was left unwrapped. Full-length mirrors were unsecured. Glass furniture was stacked with no protection. My mattress was pushed against sharp edges, likely causing tears. And again, no use was made of the provided straps to stabilize items within the POD.

I was never even given an inventory list to complete before the move—yet another failure in your process that eliminated any opportunity for basic accountability.

Given the unacceptable behavior, damages, negligence, and extreme stress I endured, I am demanding a full refund for the moving services in addition to compensation for the property that was damaged. I am submitting this notice within the required 10-day window to comply with your policy, even though I won’t receive my POD for another three months and cannot fully assess the total extent of damages until then.

Let me be clear: if I am denied fair compensation due to this arbitrary deadline or receive less than full value for the damages incurred, I am fully prepared to pursue legal action.

This entire experience has been disgraceful. I am deeply disappointed in the moving company, and in PODS for recommending such an unprofessional and careless service.

Mover's response:
We will do more investigation to find out what happened and correct the issue.
So far, we notice that you did not provide enough moving pads or blankets for the men to use to protect every single piece of furniture.

In the beginning the services that was provided to me, I was somewhat skeptical because the movers showed up late, but after they apologized and explained for the reason of them arriving late I then understood. However, the results of their work performance were outstanding and very much appreciated. They were considerate and careful of my possessions. They were politeful and respectful. Overall, I would recommend these three movers as well as the company that provided their services because they proved to be worthwhile. Thank you for your overall business, courtesy and outstanding work performance!??
