First we would like to apologize for not returning your call as promised. We have checked into the matter further. After speaking with the crew there were several factors that contributed to the time that it took to complete the job. First was the distance from the truck to the apartment. It was close to 2 football fields in distance as the crew videotaped to have on file in case there were any questions or concerns. Second were the 2 separate security doors the crew members had to go through, one at the front entrance of the building and the other at the entrance to the residential section as the building had both business and offices as well as residential areas. Due to the apartment regulations, the crew was not allowed to prop open the doors. The 2 crew members had to wait for each other so that they could scan the pod and while one held the door the other would push both dollies through. Third, there was an elevator that the crew members had to wait on multiple occasions for it to arrive on the floor they were on. Fourth, there was a drop down staircase that the 2 crew members had to assist one another to hand carry their fully loaded cart dollies down each trip to the level the apartment was located on. Lastly, the crew members moved as quickly as possible while still being safe, to ensure there were no damages to the building, your personal belongings or the refurbished wood floors of the old Mill. We hope that this will help your understanding as to why the job did take the 4 hours and that you do not feel any time was wasted or spent unwisely. We take great pride in our work ethic, try to be as diligent and efficient as possible while keeping safety in mind, and strive for complete customer satisfaction on every job.
