Outstanding service, they arrived a little ahead of schedule, had everything they needed for the job, and worked hard to quickly complete the job. They even went with me to the dump to help dispose of some heavy items. They were very careful not to damage any items or nick any walls. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them highly. Employees were very personable and professional.

Great movers! Kevin & Charlie were very nice, efficient and comedic. They worked quickly and were on time for the job. Also, I had to move my start time but they were flexible and polite changing the time with no hassle. All of my property was dis/assembled & packed well with no damage. Additionally, my family all loved them! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a stress free move.

These guys were amazing! Showed up early, worked hard the whole time, and treated my belonging like they were their own. As a single woman, moving alone, i was a little skeptical to hire helpers but these guys were very sweet and made me feel comfortable within minutes of meeting them. Great find! Would use them again and reccommend them to my family and friends.

Kevin and Jonah were a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. From the beginning they told me they would need additional time, but they got a 26' truck packed floor-to-ceiling in ~5 hours--quite a feat considering they moved over 10,000 lbs of stuff down 2 flights of stairs in the process! (Would likely have been even faster if we were fully packed when they arrived.)
Only disappointment was that they didn't wrap some furniture in blankets/plastic wrap and several pieces got scratched or scuffed in transit. That said I was busy packing the remaining odds & ends so I wasn't down at the truck to request this before they loaded those items. Also, I had only provided 4dz blankets when Kevin had asked for at least 5dz when we talked prior to the move, so perhaps they just ran out of blankets. Thankfully most damaged pieces were <$100 each so it won't be terribly expensive to fix or replace them.
Would 100% use "Get a Move On" again, even with this minor grievance. Kevin is a very down-to-earth guy, very flexible and easy to work with. His company is leaps and bounds better than any traditional moving company I've dealt with, and I love supporting an honest, hard-working small businessman. Certainly a great option for the military DITY mover looking for some help loading or unloading the truck!

Kevin and Steve personify professionalism. They arrived on time as promised and brought materials just in case…. When they arrived, the entered my home and asked for a tour. Then, they asked me what my expectations were. As I spoke, they were genuinely interested in my desires and attentively listened. I was in need of a quick, but precise load. They indicated that they’d do the best that they could and followed through on their word. They took great care of my belongings and the home I rented—that is, the home was cleaner after they left than before they arrived and they handled my belongings as if the items were theirs.
They were friendly and went beyond their normal duties. My vehicle was parked at the truck rental location and they offered to drive me to get it and follow me back for assurance purposes.
Kevin and Steve are wonderful men, superb movers and individuals who take pride in their profession. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

I was totally impressed with our helpers from Get A Move On. They where on time, well organized and did a great job packing our truck. I traveled over 100 miles and nothing moved! Great packing job.

Get a Move On: They were on time, more than prepared for the job. They went over the job with me on the phone the week before and again the day before. He made sure they I had enough furniture pads, etc. for the job. They were very careful with the furniture and meticulous in their packing. If I were in VA Beach again, I would definitely use them!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
I will call to discuss your moving needs.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A call in the morning and an experienced crew to pack/load/unload your belongings.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Since we are paid by the hour anything to make the job go quicker; break down beds, take shelves out of China Hutch, legs off tables, shades/ light bulbs from lamps etc. We have no problem doing all these things though.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have moved clients all over the country, done many office jobs, transported entire household or just a few things.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Meeting new people and seeing the stress leave customers faces after they realize we know what we are doing!
What training do you provide your crew members?
We take new crew members on jobs @ no extra cost and train them to be the best. We also have them watch multiple moving videos on YouTube.
