Very accommodating around a changing schedule. we had moving truck problems and the team stuck around until the job was done.

The 2 men helpers that showed up didn't speak any English we couldn't even communicate with them. Couldn't get the job done the way we wanted since we couldn't communicate. They did try but it was a mess. If you need English speaking don't bother with this company.

The team showed up on time and were helpful. One of the guys spent WAY too much time on his cell phone though, which I felt I was paying for.

Very disappointed. Have used Hire A Helper several times with no real issues but not this time. The company I chose, Elite Staffing Services emailed me a week before my move asking if I would change my move time from 9am to 2pm . I declined and they said they would be there. The agreement was they would show up between 9am and 10am. I got a call at 10 minutes until 10 asking if the movers had shown up. I said no and the man said he would check on them and call me back. I finally called him 15 minutes later and he said they had a flat and would be here soon but could give me no estimate of time. I told him to cancel the movers. I was on a tight time frame and with no idea when they would arrive decided my wife and I would load ourselves. He said ok but called me back and said he contacted 2 other movers to come instead and they could be here in 35-40 minutes. I said ok if that time frame was accurate. So an hour later he called said they were on there way and again i said cancel the movers. Hire a helper called me in the mean time and offered me a 5% tardy fee. Are you kidding me! Long story short, 2 guys showed up at 11:30 after we had the truck 75% loaded. I told them to hit the road. For my trouble, I was charged half of the original quote for NOTHING! I will never use Hire A Helper again after this. They provided no assistance when I needed them.
