Nick called twice ahead of time, letting me know that my two movers had another unexpected job and would be running a little late. My movers Scott and Brandon showed up just a few minutes after my scheduled time, and they were friendly, helpful, and re-moved one large piece of furniture as a final bit of "set design". : ) Overall, a great moving company!

Jake and Brock did a great job. They were on time, brought their own hand carts, worked hard, were courteous, careful and respectful with my furniture and belongings, and packed the truck like true professionals to where the twisty roads of a half filled 26' truck on RT 14 in WA from Vancouver to White Salmon didn't move my items 1 inch. I highly recommend them and the Oregon Trail moving company. Communication was great and clear and there were no unexpected surprises.

Great service. They called multiple times to confirm timing. When my pods arrived several hours early, they sent movers out early (so the entire job was finished sooner). Highly recommend these folks.

Once the team got to the site they more then made up for the slight delay (car trouble) ingetting to the site. They were very strong and very capable. They loaded the truck very professionally and my load made it to its destination with no breakage! The guys even helped direct me out of a very tight parking place. They were awesome

By the order of review suggestions I must admit they were not on time. I booked for an 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. start, requesting earliest it's the best. I was called at least 10 times pushing the arrival time back in 10 minute increments. They did eventually show up ready to work at 2:30. After that rockie start, I have only good things to say. All I
did was briefly greet them and get out of their way. The two guys were excellent at communicating between themselves. Pretty impressive actually. Those boys navigated some pretty treacherous stairs, treated my belongings better than I could have, and rather than make me buy another hour they had me set up in the new
place within 2 hours. thank you so much. Wouldn't hurt to work out any scheduling conflicts for the clients though.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Customers will receive a follow up confirmation email upon booking. They will also receive a courtesy call the day before the move to confirm details and to inquire about any changes as is often the case with moving. Of course, at any time prior to your move you can contact Hire-A-Helper or speak with us directly with any changes or questions about your move. Friendly answers to questions are just a call away!
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our crews will arrive approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the move and they will be waiting on-site to meet with you. They will arrive with all the specified equipment needed to complete your job as discussed and arranged previously with our staff. For every job they arrive with Tools, Dollys, Heavy Liftings Straps, Floor Runners for protection, Shrink Wrap & Moving Blankets, Tie Down Straps and more. If specified they will bring a variety of other equipment for Pianos, Hot Tubs etc.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Small and fragile items should be wrapped and boxed. Labeling boxes for your identification as well as the movers is always helpful at the other end. If you can stack boxes and arrange them so the movers are able to get to them with the Dollys this will save time and money. Stacks should be chest high and allowance for the movers to get to them should be made. Clear pathways for the movers, secure pets, and practice social distancing when the movers are on-site.
What types of moves have you handled?
We do all types of moving; Local, Long Distance, Office & Industrial. We are a Labor Moving Service. We do not provide or drive trucks. We specialize in container moves i.e. PODS, ABF, U-Pack, U-Box, & Pack Rat. Our customers also rent and drive their own trucks as well as rental moving trucks i.e. U-Haul, Penske, Enterprise, Budget, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I am proud to be a native Oregonian. I was raised on a small cattle farm in Ashland. My Parents were full time teachers and farmers and showed me the fundamentals of hard work and perseverance. I thoroughly enjoy this business. From interacting with our customers to find solutions for their needs, and getting out and assisting our crews in the field. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your way!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Safety is always #1 ! Every Oregon Trail Mover starts as a helper and follows experienced crew leads with after undergoing a rigorous training protocol process at our headquarters. Each crew member is first evaluated for their individual talents and abilities in order to assess where they may be utilized most effectively on our team whether that be packing and wrapping, detailed inventory with computer skills, or the ability to lift heavy weight repeatedly for hours on end.
