The guys from Earth Movers were friendly, were well prepared, worked well together and enjoyed their work. They also worked efficiently which saved us money and were respectful of the property and furniture they were moving. We would definitely hire them again.

When they both arrived, I brought the men inside to show them the layout and tell them what I wanted done. John did the quickest thing. I saw him do the whole day. He made a comment that I did not hear and opened a window that we did not want opened.
After securing the window, I started to show them what we needed removed from the house. The very first item they needed to move was an old couch that we were disposing of. When they got to the door, John disappeared. I believe he went to his car looking for a screwdriver to remove the feet. He came back empty-handed. As I was offering to get him one of our screwdrivers, he said it was an old couch and shoved it through the door putting a major dent in our front door. He denied that it was their fault that anything happened.
They proceeded to remove the other items and move a bed from one room to another for us. Then they started unloading the pod. As they brought each item in the removed the moving pads. This is about the time I noticed John disappearing. Through the whole move I kept noticing he was going to his car. One of the times he went to the car and quickly pulled out a handtruck and then for the next 10-15 minutes was searching his car. When he came back with just a handtruck, I asked him what he was looking for and he told me ratchet straps. I then pointed to the pod, which had at least 10 ratchet straps, sitting, unused, and even more still holding some of the cargo in place. At this point, it dawned on me. He was padding his time so that he could charge more to offset the damage claim.
Throughout the entire move John kept complaining & cussing. I have a 14 year old & an older autistic child. Yes I’m sure my 14 year old has heard some of the curses but there is no excuse for either of them to hear as much as they heard.
I want to mention the best part of the experience was Vaughn. Only once was he not either moving something or waiting to move something when he had to go to the bathroom. And his bathroom break was only a minute or two. If it wasn’t for Vaughn, I would’ve kicked John out a lot earlier.
Towards the ends, John came to me and told me he had come up with a way to make up for the damages. He said let’s call Hireahelper and tell them that they were going to cap the time at two hours and work for free. I considered this for a short minute and then realized if he was off the clock The insurance he had covering him would not be valid and if he had injured himself, I would be sued.
As far as damages, we not only have the dent in the door, but we had a beautiful bedroom set. The two end tables had one insert and the bureau had two. When they removed one of the end tables that was transported upside down they told us the marble had been broken. I did see that it was upside down, and it was not their fault. The second end tables had no issues. But we saw them bringing in the bureau upended onto a hand-truck. It had been stored correctly in the pod. When they left, we found the only piece of furniture that was not unwrapped. Was this bureau upon unwrapping it we found both marble inserts cracked.
I noticed that John does reply to every review which I’ll give him credit for. I do notice a pattern that every review under five stars is not his fault but something that the people hiring him were responsible for. I predict he will do the same thing to this review. One last note I did wait more than a week to cool down so I would not be hotheaded writing this review. Even with the time to calm down, I am still very upset with this move. Beware of this company
Loose marble must be separated from furniture and wrapped apart, stood upright. That's why the Pod arrived in a jumble of broken items which they (of course) now want to blame on the moving company. A lot easier than planning ahead and making any sense. They should have got us to store everything in the shed, take the junk furniture out of the house, etc.
We might have refused the job but it's always a tough call when people need that pod unloaded immediately. We fully REQUIRE the premises are basically clean and ready to move into or out.
Notice all the 5 star reviews, and expect the same when you book with our company. 150 jobs on board with good reason! Thanks to all the honest customers who have booked our expert service.

They had know idea of how to properly load POD.
Customers should plan ahead for pod size and packing- the better it will be for everyone involved.

Get To Know Us
What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Swift contact and reach consensus about moving details, pricing, special requests and any information needed to complete the work. We will stay in touch and updated into the move day. You will always get answers to your questions and know where you stand; and that we are reliable.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Clean, presentable and qualified for the job. You can also expect that the crew is a team working under direction of the supervisor. Tell us what you want us to do, and we will independently make that happen. Tight, organised packing, blankets and straps, heavy things to the front of truck and towards the bottom. Careful of walls and doors, to move steadily and efficiently, and that we can solve the moving puzzle on the spot.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
MAKE SURE THE POD OR TRUCK IS BIG ENOUGH. GET 2 PODS IF NEEDED. Have all blankets and straps at hand, packing and moving materials. Tape (if needed) plastic wrap, everything packed into boxes, tote and other containers. Be clear about what you need moved and ESPECIALLY about the truck size for the amount of things that need to travel. Larger truck is often better than smaller truck for bigger moves.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have moved every conceivable thing both to and from residential locations, up and down stairs and elevators, commercial and office sites, storage units of any description, long distance and short distance.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The chance to solve puzzles and see the challenge met with efficiency and success. To travel around and live outside, work in the sun and the cold, and pack things together so as to fit well in a tight space.
What training do you provide your crew members?
I only work with people that have verifiable prior moving experience. No day labor (unless it's moving construction or landscaping materials. etc). The best training is start on small jobs that can hardly go wrong, and building up to the bigger work. After working together enough times we become like kindred spirits.
