So when they showed up they were nice. The owner added on another guy even though we only paid for two through hire a helper. Then only two workers worked and loaded the truck while the third guy was more interested in his fantasy football account. They then tried to hold my stuff hostage when at my new place unless I paid them an extra 600 bucks directly. My cousin then started to unload the truck on his own and in the end after a few hours of arguing I had to pay them 300 bucks basically to leave even though they didn’t even unload my stuff or put back together my big furniture as was outlined in services provided. I feel like I should definitely get my 300 bucks back since they didn’t even do anything on the unloading side.
Your cousin booked 2 hours of labor through HireAHelper, which was fully completed. The night before your move, you texted our office confirming that you understood the move would take longer and agreed to pay directly for any additional time beyond the 2-hour HireAHelper booking.
When the 2-hour contracted time ended, your cousin stated that he would not authorize or pay for any additional time, even though you had agreed in advance. Our crew explained that the HireAHelper portion of the job was complete and that any additional work (unloading or assembly) would need to be handled directly through Care N Errands as a separate service.
We understand this caused frustration between you and your cousin, but our team acted professionally, completed the full time paid through HireAHelper, and followed both company and platform policies. No belongings were ever “held”; the crew simply paused once the booked time ended and payment for extra hours was declined.

These guys are amazing and professional! I hired them to move a lot of car parts that were pretty heavy, including some electronic jacks and an engine block. They came in on time even though their schedule was very busy, and finished job fast because of their professionalism and efficiency in this work. They knew exactly the right ways and the right tools to get the work done, and they also moved things with care. I would highly recommend them if your budget allows!
