Edit: Changed from 3 stars to 1 star after receiving our items today. We are devastated. Almost everything is damaged, some destroyed. Items were not wrapped properly or loaded properly. We bought over 20 moving blankets and the movers left 15 at our house unused- so items went in unprotected and are left scratched or dented or worse. Blankets that were used were only partially covering furniture. Our baby's crib was not wrapped and is scratched all over and the mattress is dented so much that it can't be used.

We trusted this company and these individuals with items we worked hard to pay for and with our family heirlooms. Thousands of dollars in damage. It is heartbreaking to see how they were treated.

Regarding the loading experience:
Movers didn't show up to the job site prepared. They didn't use a dolly so they could only move 1-2 boxes at a time which increased the amount of time we had to pay for. They requested 2 more movers, and that helped, but it also cost significantly more. We also personally helped them move boxes because we were worried they wouldn't finish in time.

The movers who unloaded our items said it would have taken them no more than 2 hours with 2 people. They were also shocked to see how items were stacked on each other in the truck.

We told Chad that the movers did not use a dolly and so they did not move efficiently and he replied "we will use one next time" which clearly doesn't help us. He still charged us significantly over the estimated amount. He also told us to pay through him and not hire and helper.

If you want your items to be safe and treated carefully, find someone else.

Dear William,
We’re truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you’ve experienced, and we’re equally upset about how this turned out. Let’s address your concerns clearly and directly to set the record straight.
We provided three dozen moving blankets at no cost to you and used them to wrap as many items as possible to protect them. Regarding the dolly—our handcart for moving boxes—we typically use it for heavy appliances, not standard box shuttling unless there’s a longer walk. When we confirmed with you beforehand that no heavy appliances were involved, we decided not to bring it. Upon arrival, we saw your truck parked far out in Timbuktu, which you hadn’t mentioned, and realized the dolly could’ve been helpful. Given the setup, I asked if you wanted two extra helpers to make the job faster and easier. You agreed, saying it would be great. If that was an issue, you could’ve declined then. Based on your approval, I had one of our team bring the dolly to assist with shuttling boxes. The only additional cost was for those two helpers for an hour and a half, a reasonable adjustment for the situation. Your claim of “significant” overcharges doesn’t align with this.
You booked two guys for three hours, and we completed the job in exactly three hours, no overtime. The unloaders’ estimate of “two hours with two people” may sound efficient, but they didn’t face the challenging parking setup we did during the load. We worked diligently given the circumstances you didn’t fully disclose.
Additionally, you didn’t purchase our professional packing services and had already wrapped several items yourself. Properly packing and moving items takes time to ensure they’re secure, but you insisted on fitting everything into three hours, which was ambitious. You also were firm about keeping everything tightly packed in a limited section of your 30-foot semi-trailer to save space. To meet your request, we had to stack items carefully within that constrained area, which meant placing some items on top of others. We did our best to handle this professionally, but your tight timeline, insistence on a compact load, and unmentioned parking setup made it a complex job. We worked hard to meet your expectations.
The damages to your baby’s crib, mattress, and heirlooms being scratched, dented, or worse are heartbreaking for us too. Since you’re processing the claim through Hire a Helper, please submit a detailed list of damaged items with photos to their claims department. We’re fully cooperating with them to ensure a fair resolution.
We hear your pain, and we’re sorry we missed the mark. But let’s keep it fair—we busted our butts in a situation made trickier by that unmentioned parking setup. Reach out to Hire a Helper to move forward with your claim, and we’ll work with them to make this right. We’re not perfect, but we’re not the bad guys either.

Utah's Mighty Movers were on time, friendly, good at communication, and professional. They quickly completed emptying my full container. They were very accommodating in trying to move a large bed frame into a bedroom. Even though it did not fit, they did their best to try to move it into the room, all without damaging the walls. I would highly recommend them.

Get To Know Us

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

After a customer books with us, we will give them a follow up call within 24 hours prior to their booking. We will go over the details and the needs of their move and confirm all of the information. We will then send them reminders and a liability agreement via email prior to the move. If the customer has questions about our service/their booking/billing, they are welcome to reach out to our customer service line.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

When moving day comes, we will send out a email with all the details of the move as well as a phone call/text from our team leader confirming the time and address. Once we arrive for the move, we will once again go over our liability form to make sure everyone is on the same page. Then, you can leave it up to us to get everything loaded and packed, or you can join in and assist if desired.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Depending on what your needs are, we can either pack your home for you or you can have everything boxed up and labeled ready for us to move it from your home to the truck. We can provide blankets and padding for an additional cost.

What types of moves have you handled?

I have done long distance, short distance, offices and museums. Anything you can think of, I have probably moved it. I have learned a lot through my experience moving customers and I am excited to serve you with whatever your needs are.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part about being a mover is having the opportunity to meet new people everyday. It also gives me a good feeling knowing that I am there to help families out on their big and stressful day.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Far too many movers end up getting injured through improper lifting techniques, so one thing we pride ourselves on is teaching our employees proper techniques and provide them with proper tools to move heavy equipment/belongings. In addition to this, we teach them how to properly pack moving trucks so that damage does not occur during the move from house to house. We also provide training in how to protect the houses from damage while moving large items.
