After 7 years in business, our goal at Helpful Movers has always been to make your move as stress free as it can be, all of our crews are courteous, polite, and helpful with anything needing to be done. We always treat your items with the utmost care just like they were our own. We disassemble/reassemble furniture except reassembly of cribs and bunkbeds due to safety. We cover anywhere from Seattle to Olympia to Bremerton. We offer out of state moves and we can also supply a company truck for in state moves if needed, please call for pricing. Booking with us ensures your move will be smooth and seamless.

The crew of 3 from Helpful Movers arrived on time. We had 24 furniture blankets, plastic wrap, and 2 dollies on hand. They worked hard yet broke 2 pieces of our furniture. One was an antique. We had identified the piece as an antique and it was already wrapped it with double blanket and plastic wrap. The mover was witnessed by my husband trying to reach something behind the cabinet which was on the truck. He jumped using his elbow as a fulcrum therefore having his full body weight on the top of the cabinet. At that point his elbow broke through the top. The mover said he just leaned his elbow on it gently. That is untrue. They also broke another piece. They declined to use either of the 2 furniture dollies we had nor would they wrap the pieces before carrying them to the truck. I called Mr. Aker that day before the crew left to report the damage. And 2 subsequent times. He is responsible for the crew and will not return my call. I would not use them again.

They used my bathroom when they arrived and asked for bottled water. I provided moving blankets and bubble wrap and they proceeded to tape up my buffet without protection. I had them remove if immediately and remained them everything needs to he wrapped. They did a poor job of packing the pod and they cramned my air purifier on the floor. It had gouges in it and I wrapped it myself. My neighbor and I had to reorganize the container to better utilize the space and fit more items. They complained the whole time about just having to go to another job after mine. They also complained about the work and kept remarking on the time.

Let me preface this by saying they did start an hour after the end of the arrival window I was provided and it took some effort to get a hold of them when the arrival window had passed. This was stressful during an already rocky move.
That said - once they arrived, the two guys that came literally didn't stop moving until the job was done, fit more than I expected in the POD, and were pleasant (and careful with my belongings). Because they were running late, they worked through lunch and it sounded like their first job was a little rough (hence the delay). Anyways - despite the timing hiccup, these guys are great (and fast) at what they do. I'm pleased with their work and would use them again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
We will give you a call as soon as possible to get all of the details for your move confirmed and also go through your move with you to discuss any additional information that may happen for your move. Also we will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Once we arrive onsite we will do a brief walk through and then we will get started by prepping any furniture for loading and proceed to loading your Pod, Truck or Trailer.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best way to prepare for your move is always organization, having walkways cleared for the movers so as not to trip over anything. If we are unloading a great time saver is to take post it notes label each room #1,#2 etc then as we are bring boxes in you can say that goes to room # this makes it much easier for you and saves you time and money!
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled every move there is, we do in-state, residential, commercial, industrial, out of state, in home, remodels, we also do staging as well!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
By far we love doing everything we can to take the stress out of your move, we know moving is a very stressful thing to do, so we want to do everything we can to make whatever part we are taking in it to be stress free.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of our employees go through training on jobs as an extra crew member to learn everything they need to know before being sent out. It is imperative that they learn how to handle your belongings properly before they are put on as a full time member of our company.
