They took two hours longer than expected, and spent a lot of that time standing around or chatting on their cell phones. We bought a bunch of furniture pads for them to use, but they left a lot of the furniture unprotected (including bare wood on wood) and threw at least ten unused pads in the storage pod at the end. The guys who unloaded it were amazed at the poor loading job, and said they could have done it in half the time.

They were very polite and fast. They took the time to wrap many pieces of furniture. And they took apart some of the furniture as well. But I had some issues. They dropped a box, and a neighbor heard it and told us. The movers did not let us know. They broke a lamp in packing up the truck. When we arrived we found more issues. A box that was marked as fragile was at the bottom of a heavy stack of boxes. I have no idea where the nuts and bolts are for the items that were taken apart. A lamp base was broken to the point the lamp would not stand up straight. My dining room table they dragged on one edge and I will have to have it refinished. A tv was propped against a box where the corner of the box was pressing on the flat screen. Two small shelving units were placed on the bottom of a heavy stack of boxes, they broke to the point I had to throw them out. A white cabinet that was not wrapped was scuffed and paint was transferred. I have used these types of services quite a few times with great success, so this was incredibly disappointing.

Highly recommend. We had two guys help us unload a very full sixteen foot truck for two hours. They were punctual, polite and efficient. Took great care of our things and finished with time to spare!

These guys have 5 star for a reason, they are excellent. I hired 4 movers for a couple hours and they packed my entire POD like a jigsaw puzzle. They are professionals who really know how to pack a trailer or POD. One of the gentleman was coordinating the packing, showing the guys what shapes and pieces he wanted next etc, it was impressive to watch. I will be hiring them again for my move in later this year for certain. I had Ron, Kevin, Don, and Baldwin- (sorry if i got your name wrong!). If your looking for quality reliable movers, I would not hesitate to call Md Expert Movers.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though.
