I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with ProMovers Express via HireAHelper was highly disappointing. We booked 3 movers and a truck for 6 hours to move a 3-bedroom home, which should have been plenty of time. Instead, the team moved incredibly slowly—only speeding up when watched—and constantly asked for drinks.
The issues multiplied throughout the day:
Property Damage: They drove the moving truck through my grass and flower bed, leaving deep ruts.
Overages & Fees: The job ran 3 hours over. I was then pressured about phantom "supplies charges" for boxes I had personally purchased. One mover even complained that I didn't buy them lunch. While the manager ultimately waived the extra fee, the crew uncomfortably lingered outside afterward.
Lack of Care: They crammed their own truck trash into my personal garbage cans, leaving no room for my waste. They also packed two furniture pieces poorly, leaving the drawers jammed open from shifted items.
The extra hours cost me significantly, and the lack of professionalism was unacceptable. I cannot recommend ProMovers Express.

The window of time for them to arrive was from 12:00-1:00. I received an email at 12:21 stating my crew will arrive shortly. I received a phone call from one of them stating they are running about 15 minutes late, would be there shortly. Received an email at 1:02 stating my crew will arrive shortly. Then received an email stating my crew had arrived when indeed they had not. About 5 minutes later ONE of them showed and sat in his truck until I walked out and told him the other crew member said for him to start prepping. This was at 1:30. The other crew member FINALLY arrived at 2:00, one hour from the latest of window time. They did work hard and loaded the containers well. They were a little slow but again, did work hard and were courteous. NOW….to the problem I had besides arriving late was that because our neighborhood is very tight and the area that the container driver needed to get to the containers, our neighborhood was nice enough to allow the crew members to park in her driveway. I received a call from her the next day stating one of the crew members truck leaked oil leaving 2 big stains on her driveway. I called Pro Movers to tell them about it and asked kindly if they would send someone out to clean it up. They stated they would get back with me the next day. I did not receive a call or email. So I contacted again and she told me they were sending someone out to clean it. The owner of the house contacted me AGAIN and said they had not and when she tried to call, no one answered the phone several times. We moved on the 6th and we drive by there on the 22nd and the oil stains are still there. I’m disappointed and embarrassed that this is not taken care of. It’s unprofessional of the company to do that. I know things happen beyond our control sometimes but this could be rectified but has not been. I wouldn’t use them again due to them not being a company of their word. I tried reaching out to them before leaving this review and left a message and never got a response.

They couldn’t make it on time because of complications with the previous move but they did keep me posted of the situation and when they were on their way. They worked hard downloading the POD and putting things where they belong. They were respectful and careful with the property and my belongings. If the need arises, I will use them again.
