The arrival window for the movers was 8a - 9a. I was at the location at 7:50a. OK. I'm an early bird, always have been. at 8:55a, my nerves had piqued and I called Pro Movers - I called 3, count 'em THREE times - are you listening Delilah, are you listening Cory Lee - finally was able to leave a message because other calls hung up. At 9a, I got a call from movers who were on their way, saying there was a delay and they would be there in 38 minutes, according to GPS. I asked them what the delay was, and after some insisting, they disclosed that the original crew didn't show up. NO ONE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW.
The truck size that HireAHelper recommended, at 16ft., was too small, and the movers were not able to fit everything in the truck. I had to make at least 10 different trips with car to finish the move. HireAHelper tried to blame me for this mistake, and I reminded that they are the experts and, of course, I'm going to accept their recommendation. How would I know what size truck I needed?
When I called HireAHelper to let them know of this mess, they gave me a 10% refund. That's it. And, it ended up not being 10% of the total amount. Never will I use this service again. Never.
