I rented a moving truck at 7 and was supposed to return before 4. (also rented 12 moving blankets)
I scheduled movers between 9am-10am. SIDE NOTE: The original movers I scheduled had a prior commitment and let me know well in advance. Upon that cancellation HireAHelper called me and replaced the ones I had selected with this company for me)
Received a text they were going to 'possibly' move it back by 1 hour
Next text said they should be to us at 11:15
Message at 11:30 said they were going to be on their way
12:52 messaged to let me know that they had 10 minutes left on their
current job.
1:30 sent a location, showing they were on their way from Tempe
They arrived and I specifically asked if they had covers or someway to protect the furniture and one of the gentlemen told me yes. They hustled to get the job done so I can get the truck back. I arrived at Budget with their truck at 4:50 (they didn't seem happy)
I went back to the new home and noticed the mattress was dirty on 2 sides, as if no blankets or plastic or shrink wrap had been used. I will say that they did call for help to assist them to get the truck empty, so I could get the truck back in time (to be fair).
My bureau, which we asked be left in the garage, was left on it's side... to say that they didn't even leave it right side up!
My boyfriend watched as they fumbled or dropped a couple boxes, one of which had an glass elephant my daughter had sent me from Germany, and the trunk was broken off.
When it was time to pay, I received a call from HireAHelper who called the mover to let them know of the issues and they DENIED MY CLAIM!
Would I recommend this mover? NO, would I recommend Hire A Helper, yes. They gave me a small credit which showed good faith on them, but I would caution anyone looking to hire helpers to read the REVIEWS.

During moving day each customer should have their phone on them to answer our calls, have their items ready to be moved and know where they will be placed at their new home if we are moving them to a new home.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is that we get to remove the stress that moving brings. Although moving is hard work, it's worth seeing our customers happy in their new home at the end of the day.
