Relocation with Helping Hands!

*This company does not mandate masks.* (We understand the guidelines of the CDC, and take proper precautions with sanitizing, and keeping our employees healthy. With this line of work it requires alot of labor, and physical movement and wearing a mask in those situations increases body temps, and makes it difficult to breathe. For the health of our employees it is optional. Thank you for your understanding.) We offer same day service for the SAME PRICE! Our men take pride in handling your most valuable possessions as if it were their own! We understand you just want to get the job done, and were here to do it for you! Book today! Have any other questions? I'm just a phone call away! As a side note the our crew members work very hard moving your belongings -so please remember gratuities are appreciated to our crew members. Thank you!!

These were very professional, courteous, extremely efficient hard-working young men. They did a superb job loading our moving truck and I was very comfortable with how they handled our household goods. Absolutely a phenomenal job!

I almost never leave reviews even if I have a bad experience because I understand that one job shouldn’t define a company. However, I felt I needed to leave this review so that anyone considering using this company would have fair warning. I only gave this company one star because it is not possible to give zero stars. They arrived at 1:00pm and by 3:30pm had only moved a bedroom set and two couches. With each piece of furniture they would stop and sit down mid-move. I warned the person who called to confirm that we had a lot of stairs and she said that it wouldn’t be a problem because they would just charge us extra if we went over our scheduled time because of the stairs. The movers they sent were not aware that we had requested them to load the truck at my current address and unload it at my new address. When they found out one of them said he would help load the rest of the heavy stuff but then he was “going home”. When I called the company to inform them of the situation, the man became rude and belligerent and left me with a half-loaded U-Haul that needed to be returned in a few hours. Not only did we have an unfinished job, but the supervisor I spoke to was unsympathetic and said we’d still be charged. I’ve never encountered such an unprofessional company and I hope that Hire a Helper will remove them so this will not happen to anyone else.

Thank you!

They were late showing up to do the work. They came unprepared, no dollies or tools... Once they started working the "lead" started complaining about "its going to be a long day." (this continued all day long). They loaded the truck, but every time it came to moving something heavy the lead guy would have the helper do it. We left that site and traveled to the house to unload and ran into heavy traffic which delayed us for almost an hour. I still had them stop and bought them lunch at a local fast food, that took another 25-30 minutes. We arrived at the house and they started unloading and again the lead guy made the helper do all of the heavy moving. He continued to say "I'll be glad when 4:00 o'clock gets here (knowing that we would not finish that early). At about 4:30 he and the helper loaded the Washer onto the dolly that I provided and he started to roll it off the truck and all at once he says " No, no, that's not happening... and he sat the washer back down and stepped away and told the helper to move it. I said to the helper (as a tease) "you ever call him a "pussy" " (indicating the lead guy). The lead guy got mad and said We're done!!! I asked what was the matter. I tried to apologize but he ignored me. He walked to his truck and got the invoice and told me "Sign it!" I told him I was sorry that I offended him. He insisted that I sign. So I did and he and the helper left (helper I think would have stayed, but he had no transportation. The truck was still half full. during the day there was other teasing and banter between the three of us and no one got mad or upset. I believe that the lead was looking for an excuse to quit as close to 4:00 pm as possible for personal reasons. I had to hire another company to complete the job and they did an outstanding job.

Mover's response:
Sir, this is your second review for us, and you asked for the same guys you had last time, because of how great they were. This time you were really disrespectful to our crew, and what you fail to realize is they're brothers. They will bicker at each other in a playful manner, but they get the job done professionally. You only booked for 7 hours, and if the guys wanted to leave at there 7 hour mark, they could have. The "lead guy" was seriously upset about the whole situation for the rest of that day. He wanted to help you finish, and planned on staying until the job was done. You crossed the line with your profanity towards my crew. It was not acceptable, and Helping Hands!, not hireahelper will tolerate it. We wish you the best of luck!

We made the move from Minnesota to Tennessee and used 'Hire a Helper'. We had two separate crews in each location. One in Minnesota and one in Tennessee. Both of the crews worked incredibly hard! The crew we had in Tennessee worked their tails off! They were a group of timely, diligent, efficient, hardworking young men. They're a family actually, and you could tell by how well they all got along. They didn’t waste a minute and they stayed focused the entire time, paying close attention to detail and taking our direction in great spirits! I would have to say that this crew was one of the most positive and motivated groups of people that I’ve encountered and they were happy to be able to help! I would highly recommend using them!!

Mover's response:
Thank You! The guys definitely loved doing your move. They still talk about it almost daily, one for the books!
